  1. At Teton Science Schools we do not have a janitorial staff. As a member of our education team you will be expected to clean and maintain all program areas and resources. Are you willing and able to take part in the following tasks and lead participants in the following tasks: washing dishes, cleaning dining lodge, cleaning program spaces, cleaning vehicles, cleaning rooms and bathrooms and prepping lodges for group arrivals?
  1. Please describe why you would like to be a member of a community where staff work long days, work an untraditional work week and are willing to take on a variety of responsibilities to assure the successof the program and our mission.

Track 1:Kindergarten Science Day Camp

Positions available: 1

Job characteristics: Guide kindergarten students in science inquiry at the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools and throughout the valley.Work primarily with one mentor instructor throughout your internship. This position is based out of the Jackson Campus for the entire internship.

Track 2: Summer of Discovery with Teton County School District

Positions available: 4

Job characteristics: This position partners with Teton County Summer School and runs for 4 weeks only. During the rest of the summer you will be involved in either Science Day Camps or Youth and Family Residential Programs. Summer of Discovery engages elementary level students in fun summer inquiry. You will create your own curriculum and collaborate with local teachers. This position is based out of Teton County Schools.

Track 3:Science Inquiry Day Camps

Positions available: 10

Job characteristics: Half of your summer will be spent guiding 1st-9th grade students through our flagship science inquiry day camps in Jackson, WY. During this time you will be based out of the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools. The other half of the summer will be spent traveling to communities throughout Wyoming and Idaho to teach science day camps that connect local students to their home environment. This position may include camping with students.

Track 4: Youth and Family Residential Programs

Positions available: 9

Job characteristics: This position offers the most diversity in programming and requires a high level of flexibility in working with participants of all ages. Your experiences could range from working with a family retreat to guiding students from across the country in science inquiry and adventure. This position is based out of the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools and may include camping with students.
