JOB DESCRIPTION

A. Activities Director

  1. Directly responsible to the principal or administrator for the administration of all areas of the athletic program of Pella Christian High School.
  2. Be prepared to make oral and written reports when called upon by the principal or administrator.
  3. Be aware of the use of the total athletic facilities of the school system, both during school hours and other times.
  4. Responsible for ordering of supplies and equipment for individual sports or delegating responsibility to coaches who have specific requests. Work closely with the school office personnel in all budget matters.
  5. Responsible to maintain the physical examination files and concussion reports on all high school athletes.
  6. Responsible to keep accurate inventory of all uniforms, athletic equipment, and training supplies.
  7. Responsible to submit bids on equipment and uniforms to athletic supply companies in the area and to purchase such items through normal purchase procedures.
  8. Represent PCHS in all meetings of the Little Hawkeye Conference.
  9. Attend and participate in all meetings that pertain to athletics at PCHS.
  10. Assist coaches in the handing out of letters and awards for their teams.
  11. Responsible to keep accurate team records and statistics on PCHS server.
  12. Distribute Athletic and Coaches Handbook for students and coaches.
  13. Keep an accurate record of Emergency Medical Cards.
  14. Schedule all high school athletic events. Work closely with the school office personnel in maintaining a master school calendar.
  15. Observe practices and games and provide relevant feedback to coaches.
  16. Meet with the athletic staff on a regular basis including the pre and post season.
  17. Maintain a clear spiritual atmosphere in the athletic department and especially within the coaching staff.
  18. Arrange all transportation to and from athletic contests.
  19. Monitor care and maintenance of the De Vries bus.
  20. Publicize overall athletic program to the local media.
  21. Organize and supervise the necessary duties that must be performed at home contests (admissions, scorekeeper, timer, supervision, etc).
  22. Serve as a liaison to the Eagle Boosters through PCHS principal.

B.Facilities Coordinator

  1. Oversee the master calendar of all PCHS facilities.
  2. Produce contracts for rental of all PCHS facilities.
  3. Communicate rental needs to custodial staff.
  4. Collect appropriate rental fees.
  5. Meet monthly with the Buildings and Grounds Committee to keep them abreast of any facility issues.
  6. Schedule tech support for auditorium rentals.

C.Intramural Coordinator

  1. Schedule IM events for the year.
  2. Schedule officials for IM competition.
  3. Maintain a running score of IM events for the year.
