Worship Resources Have a Camp Sunday! Theme: “Got Spirit?”
Listen! God is calling you TO camp; and God calls you AT camp to make a difference in the world. In the Christian camp community, campers make friends in small groups where they feel safe enough to “listen” to new voices – including God’s. Through Bible Discoveries, campfire discussions and fun activities, campers will explore God’s call and how they act on that call to make a difference in the world.
Campers are invited to begin or grow their relationship with Jesus. Camp is a great place to hear God and live out God’s call!

God is Calling! God invites us to stop our running chatter and listen for the Spirit. Each individual is welcomed and accepted in this community, and encouraged to receive the Spirit! Today we celebrate God’s gifts of creation and life-changing camp and retreat experiences. We are thankful for the generations of campers and retreat guests who heard and followed God’s call, deepening their faith through laughter with friends, the warmth of the sun’s rays, and worship around campfires. Let us listen for the whisper of God’s call; so that we may catch the Spirit!
OPENING PRAYERGod who continually calls us, thank you for your persistent call. Take our worry and busy-ness, replacing them with a retreat in you. At the same time, energize us with the call to praise. Help us listen to you and each other. Change us just as you change the lives of children, youth and adults who experience God’s call at camps and retreats. Amen.
OFFERING PRAYERGracious God, you give us all we need: the air we breathe, your creation which we enjoy, the home in which we live, the friends and family with whom we celebrate. You call each of us in unique ways. This morning, we offer thanksgiving for camp and retreat experiences where we grow in relationship with you and each other. We share our tithes and offerings, hoping they will help your children of all ages receive the Spirit! Amen.
