VP of Operations and Director of Contract Manufacturing: (January 2006 to June 2013)

  • Member of the executive team along with VP of Sales and CFO, who managed the company including 90 full-time and seasonal staff, developed new product lines, and developed long term planning
  • Accountable for all aspects of the operation including equipment selection, process improvements, product development, training schedules, goal and objective setting, staffing and labor budgets as well as P&L responsibilities
  • Responsible for the operation of the Production, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Human Resources Departments
  • Assumed responsibility for completing a $16 million dollar plant expansion over a 6 month period – selected equipment and contractors, developed scope of work, laid out systems, managed the construction project, set goals and coordinated communication among various companies. Completed project within budget and on time while managing plant operations
  • Doubled the processing capability of the facility by adding additional Apple Handling systems and two new presses, Increased cooling capacity, electrical service, compressed air systems and boiler capacity
  • Recognized a need for a Global Food Safety Initiative and achieved a Level III SQF Certification with an initial score of 97 and led the company effort for “green” manufacturing to achieve a sustainability rating of 97.6%
