Nekoosa staff continue to link their items and are compiling a list of their serials subscriptions. SCLS will begin setting up their subscriptions in Koha Periodicals. We have also started working on the PAC customizations.

Work on the 2017 annual clones process is underway.

LibLime Koha Codebase Fusion

SCLS continues to work with other codebase fusion sponsors to assure that all current functionality will be moved over to the new software. SCLS staff shared their module checklists with the other sponsors as a base for testing the new software.

Patrick Jones from LibLime will be at the ILS User’s Summit scheduled for Friday, October 14 at the DeForest Public Library. Patrick will describe the Koha codebase fusion project, provide a timeline, and summarize and demonstrate new features. He and the ILS staff will also answer your questions and address concerns about the codebase fusion. A more detailedagendais now available and registration is available here. Bibliotheca Support

We now have Virginia Phillips as our new internal sales representative at Bibliotheca. We have a weekly phone meeting with her as she also serves as our customer service representative. She is there for us to escalate issues with support, billing, and anything else that comes up. Right now we are working on the Support Agreement for 2017 and we hope to have details available soon. She will be available to meet with SCLS member library staff at two venues:

Hiring Data Services Consultant
The 2017 SCLS budget has been approved and it includes the new position of Data Services Consultant. We will begin the hiring process very soon. The person in this position will be responsible for coordinating all SCLS reports, the authentication process, and for data analysis, including a new data dashboard.

Authority Control and Database Maintenance

July 27, 2016 Authority Control and Batch Deletes

  • 1,272 bibliographic records with no items attached (that were created before 4/1/16) were deleted from the database.
  • 33,017 items and 3,864 bibliographic records (with only withdrawn items attached) were deleted in the monthly batch deletion of withdrawn items.
  • 4,175 bibliographic records were added and/or updated in the database between 7/1/16 and 7/26/16.

August 23, 2016 Authority Control and Batch Deletes

  • 14,407 items and 1,700 bibliographic records (with only withdrawn items attached) were deleted in the monthly batch deletion of withdrawn items.
  • 7,925 bibliographic records were added and/or updated in the database between 7/28/16 and 8/22/16.
