OVERVIEW

South West Academy of Sport invites all sports to nominate a South West coach for the annual “Wally Foreman Coaches Award” as part of the South West Academy Annual Dinner & Awards.

The Award will be awarded to an individual who has attained a level of excellence in the field of coaching and whose performance sets them apart from their peers. The nominee’s will be assessed on their achievements for the period July to June.

Factors to consider in completing the nomination include:

  • Level of coaching and participation at club, regional, state, national and international levels
  • Achievements during the period
  • Contribution to the development of other Coaches
  • Contribution to their sport.

Nominees will be expected to have made themselves available for coaching at club, regional, state, national and international events during the period. This will include all state, national and international appointments.

The capacity to be available and provide assistance at events at all levels is important for the progress of the sport.

All Coaches should abide by and, without fear or favour, apply the rules to ensure that all athletes are competing in a fair environment.
