VRRP Donation Guidelines

Thank you in advance for your generosity to New American Pathways and our clients. All new arrivals’ homes are furnished with the help of donations. We accept donations Monday through Friday by appointment. Pick-up of furniture donations are limited to 15 miles from our office and must be scheduled in advance. We are happy to provide a letter of acknowledgement of all donations for tax purposes.

Items we accept:

  • Furniture:couches (NOsleeper sofas), loveseats, armchairs, sturdy kitchen/dining room tables and chairs, lightweight dressers.
  • Kitchen items: sets of dishes, silverwares setsand serving utensils, large pots with lids, large pans, Pyrex, sharp knives, mixing bowls and spoons.
  • Linens: twin and double sheet sets (no queen or king), blankets, comforters, quilts, towels, washcloths, and dish towels.
  • Appliances and Electronics: lamps, vacuum cleaners, irons and ironing boards, alarm clocks, microwave ovens, toasters, fans, rice cookers.
  • Baby Items: cribs (with all pieces and hardware), strollers, diapers, baby wipes, and booster seats,.
  • Clothing: adult clothing (smaller sizes),children’s clothing, shoes, winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots.WE ARE ESPECIALLY IN NEED OF SCHOOL UNIFORM ITEMS AND BACKPACKS.
  • Personal Hygiene Items(must be new and unopened):toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, disposable razors, sanitary pads.
  • Household and Miscellaneous Items (must be new and unopened):cleaning products, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, laundry baskets, paper goods, food storage bags, trash bags, and shower curtains/rings.

We cannot accept:
Sleeper sofas, mattresses, futons, large office furniture (desks, file cabinets, book cases), china cabinets, large appliances (dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves), or outdoor furniture. Please do not donate any item that you would not use due to its poor condition.
