Please note the following when filling out your grant application:

1)To be eligible to apply, you must be aUTown@UBC resident. This is defined as student, staff, faculty, or residents living in student housing (SHHS) or a UNA neighbourhood. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact

2)In order to be considered for aUTown@UBC Community Grant you must submit this application form. Alternate reports and proposals will not be considered.

3)A detailed budget must be included with this application (see Section E)

4)Any funding used to pay an honorarium will require a T4A form to be issued by UBC.

5)Please allow a minimum of three weeks after accepting your grant to receive funding.

6)This application is only for applicants who are residents of UTown@UBC - students, faculty, staff and other residents who live on the UBC Vancouver Campus.

Describe in detail, how you plan to promote your project to the UTown@UBC community. Please consider the following questions:
  • Who is your primary target audience for this project?
  • How will you inform this audience about your project?
  • How will you expand and promote your project to secondary and tertiary audiences?
  • Which promotional channels will you use to ensure that your project is promoted to the entire campus community? (ex: The Campus Resident, The Ubyssey, social media, etc).
  • What types of collateral pieces will you need to create to promote your project? (advertisements, posters, handbills, swag, etc.)
