U11 COMPETITVE ELEMENTS PART 3

There are 2 competitive elements for the U11’s for the second half of the season.

The first will run between 2 dates as per the published fixtures and run for 6 consecutive weeks and split into a required number of named Groups. Within each group there is a further split to A & B Groups.

The first 5 weeks will be of League games within each A & B group with a Cross Group game also played each week.

For these cross group games the team from Group B will be at home.

These games will be played as League fixtures with 3 points for a win, 2 points for a score draw and 1 point for a goalless draw.

In the event that the home pitch is unplayable then the game should be switched to the away ground.

Due to these games having to be played over a 6 week consecutive period then every effort should be made to play the game regardless of whether or not the kick off time will change.

Please liaise with each other to try and ensure the game is played. If the game is not played it will be declared void and no points awarded.

If after 5 games teams are level on points the positions will be decided by.

a). Head to head result of the 2 tied teams.

b). Results against other teams in the league starting with the highest placed team. For example 2 teams finish second and team A drew with the team finishing 1st and team B lost to the team finishing first then team A will be placed second. This process will be repeated until one can be placed higher.

c). The drawing of lots. This will take place on a date and at a time and venue to be announced on the League’s Website.

In week 6 there will be a string of games to decide the final positions in the Cup. The top team of Group A will play the top Team of Group B and so on.

The winners of this game will receive a trophy. The team from Group A will host this match and provide the match referee.

If the Group A team cannot host then it should be reversed.

All players will receive medals for this competition. Medals and the match trophy will require picking up by the Group A team.

Arrangements will be published on the Website as soon as known.

The final 6 week part of the season will consist of a number of Leagues dependent on the number of teams and will be based on the positions finished in the above Competition.

This has been pre done so that after week 5 teams will know their respective League for the final part of the season.

Normal League rules will apply for this Competition and all Leagues winners will be invited to the presentation evenings in May.

In the event of teams finishing level there WILL BE JOINT WINNERS.

Any cancelled games in this final part will go to the League’s discipline committee for a decision.
