If the World Cup is finished Saturday, we try to make a new “SMALLIDAY ON ICE” Sunday.

Class: F1H, F1G and P 30.

We have the pleasure to invite you to the World Cup competition on March 11.-13. 2016, in Gjøvik,Norway.

Holiday on ice will be run according to FAI-rules, except for the time-keeping, 5 rounds and1. Flyoff direct to 7min.

If the weather or retrieving conditions become difficult, the competition can be run over two days, March 12-13.

Headquarter for the competition will be Hovdetun Youth Hostel,Gjøvik.

The organizers will be at the hostel from 1600 Friday March .11.

The competition takes place on a frozen lake. The ice surface is usually covered with snow(5-15cm), but some water can accumulate under the snow, so please bring warm and waterproof boots. During the last unusual winters the ice surface has been slippery, so be prepared.

The temperature is usually 0- 5oC , on clear days it can be colder -10- -15o C in the morning, but then it gets warmer during the day.

The wind conditions may vary, but usually calm.

The competition will start at 0900 on Saturday March 12, with briefing at 845.

In first round the max flight time will be 210 sec. for F1A, 240 sec. for F1B and F1C. And we go direct to 7minute flyoff in all classes.
How to fly F1Q will all the competitors decides after briefing.

The contest director will decide the max flight time and the length of the round according to the weather and retrieving conditions.
