FINAL DETAILS

SUMMER FESTIVAL 2 CONCERT AT DE MONTFORT HALL

WEDNESDAY 21ST JUNE 2017 – 7.00PM

Please find below the final rehearsal and performance details for the above concert.

There will be a rehearsal on the day of the performance at the De Montfort Hall from 3.30pm – 4.15pm - students will need to be at the hall by 3.15pm.

ARRIVAL

TO members should arrive at the front entrance where they will be registered. You will also be asked whether you are

  • Picking your child up immediately after the rehearsal at 4.15pm and bringing them back for 6.30pm
  • Or leaving them under our supervision at the hall.

All children will then be directed to the Garden Suite where they will wait until it is their rehearsal time.

Once the rehearsal has finished, the children leaving will be brought back to the entrance of De Montfort Hall, the others will be staying in the garden suite or go and play outside followed by tea etc. Students should bring something small to occupy themselves with.

Children returning in the evening must also sign themselves in again at the door of the Garden Suite Corridor.

Your co-operation in assisting us to maintain a safe registration and collection system for your child and other performers is greatly appreciated. It is essential that LSMS staff register your child on arrival and sign them out on departure, so that we have an accurate list of performers in case of fire or emergency evacuation.

Please remember to bring all your music, instrument, a packed tea and drinks. Students should wear black trousers /skirts with a white blouse/ shirt and black shoes.

RUNNING ORDER

The programme order for the evening is: Taiko drumming, Apprentice strings, WCET Percussion, INTERVAL Training Orchestra, Massed Choir and The County Steel Pan Ensemble.

(WCET = Whole Class Ensemble Teaching)

The performance will start at 7:00pm and is expected to finish at approximately 9.20pm. Children in the first half will have seats to watch in the second half and vice versa. We strongly urge you to stay for the whole concert so all groups enjoy an audience to perform to

COLLECTION

At the end of the concert, please make your way to the Garden suite to sign out your child – children will not be permitted to leave the garden suite without an adult picking them up. Please be patient -we try to make it as smooth and as painless as possible.

Tickets for the performance are priced £10.00, £8.00, £5.00 for adults with £1.00 off each adult priced
