Position objective: / To deliver best health services to all patients and clients of SANITAS Hospitals Ltd. To contribute to the overall success of SANITAS as a renowned medical treatment centre in Dar es Salaam by providing high quality patient treatment and care.

Key responsibilities cont... / Provide patient consultations in a professional and timely manner
Administer and prescribe tests, medication and treatment regimes for all patients to the highest standard
Provide advice to patients on all aspects of preventative health care and condition treatments, diet, hygiene, exercise, medication regimes, treatment options and more
Coordinate with other specialists, administration, laboratory and pharmacy staff to provide the best care possible and ensure appropriate follow-up for patients when required
Use diagnostic medical equipment when required, ensure an up-to-date working knowledge of all medical equipment you are required to use
Perform minor surgical procedures for patients where required
When the patient condition is beyond your knowledge or beyond the facilities at the clinic, refer the patient to the most appropriate specialist or in-patient facility
Work with administration staff to ensure all patient data is entered into the clinic management software on a daily basis and kept accurate and up-to-date
Work with the CEO to oversee the medical treatments provided in SANITAS are the most current and accurate that we can provide
Monitor and report to the appropriate regulatory body all unusual or contagious conditions encountered. Provide information to the patient concerned that will allow them to best contain and manage their condition and put them in touch with the appropriate specialist organisation if required
Work with the Administration manager and administration staff to produce timely and accurate reports on patient statistics and treatments
Work with the Administration, Pharmacy and Laboratory staff to ensure that best treatments, medications and diagnostic tools are always available
Ensure your education and knowledge in your medical field is kept fresh and up-to-date so you can provide the best possible solutions to your patients
Contribute with the nursing and administration teams and CEO in providing continuous medical education and growing the reputation and capacity of SANITAS medical centre.
Key Performance measures / Patient and client relations, ability to relate and treat all patients with a level of care and compassion whilst maintaining a professional relationship
Providing the best possible treatments, ability to consult in areas where you are unsure, ensuring the confidence and satisfaction of your patients in your treatment
Record keeping of patient files and doctors notes, ability to work closely with administration staff to ensure these are always up-to-date and followed up as required
Ability to work closely with the Chief Claims Officer to ensure that all insurance claims are filled appropriately, correctly and amended in a timely fashion if required
Skills required / Medicine –First degree in Doctor of Medicine
At least 1 years experience in a consulting role in a medical centre or hospital environment, preferred practice experience in Tanzania or East Africa.
Strong leadership skills, people management skills, time management, excellent customer service skills, team player, good communication skills.
