The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and explained the Agenda.

The minutes of the 2015 AGM were read. Proposed as correct by Doreen Tallent (Stowmarket Crown) and Seconded by Gary Holland (Stowmarket Meadlands Social Club).

Attendance and Apologies were noted, as above.

Secretary’s Report:-

Thanks again to the committee for all their help and input.

Thanks also to Paul Berryman for his continued support and sponsorship.

I would also like to thank ML Property Consultants, who sponsored the league, in return for an advert on the website.

The league had 23 teams. (Chilton dropped out in the 1st week, otherwise we would have had 24).

We introduced a Knockout Cup and 1st Round Losers Cup. (Now called Zarkeys Plate).

The format was also changed for the singles, which really worked.

Finals night was a success. Thanks to Phil for the free use of the venue and Angie for doing the excellent food.

The trophies went down well, instead of the cash prizes. So we will continue with these.

Result Cards, at least 4 teams lost their result cards given to them at the AGM last year! This year the cards will cost £5 to replace. You have been warned.

Moving into our 8th season, I’d like to wish all the teams an enjoyable season,

Thanks Again

Treasurers Report:-

Our Treasurer Adam Peck sent apologies, so the Secretary went through the figures, there were no matters arising from the accounts.

Election Of The Committee:-

All the existing committee were happy to continue, there were no other nominations.

Doreen Tallent (Stowmarket Crown) poroposed that the committee should be re-elected en-bloc and this was seconded by Marek Stebbings (Combs Ford Magpie (B)). And agreed by members.

The committee for 2016is therefore as follows:-

Chairman – Tom Page

Secretary – Chris Chilton

Vice Chairman – Jane Stammers

Treasurer – Adam Peck

League Representative – Wayne Fiddaman

The 2015 Rules

The 2015 rules were then read and it was agreed that the following rules would be amended/added:-

Introduce a 10 mile radius (from the Royal William) for new teams wanting to enter the league. (Using Google Maps).

From the 2016 season, all 180’s and 100+ check out’s will be recorded in all competitions, including all games played at finals night.

Captains must nominate a vice captain, who is the only player that can play the captains when the captain is away. If the captain is in attendance, he must play. If the captain is away then the vice captain plays. If both the captain and the vice captain are away, then the opposing captain will be handed a 2-0 walkover win. (obviously the captain or vice captain must be in attendance to claim the walkover win).

The Secretary confirmed that there will be 23 teams this season (Division’s One and Two will have 8 teams whilst Division Three will have 7. The three new teams that have entered Division 3 are:- Cedars Park Aviary (B), Needham Market Swan and Stowmarket Walnut Tree (B). The venue will be the Needham Market.

In AOB,

Gary Holland (Stowmarket Meadlands Social Club) asked if it was OK for players to be helped with the score whilst pitching. The chairman said it was.

Jem Lamb asked if the pairs could be made, best of three legs, 501 straight on. This was discussed and we decided to put it to the vote.

Jem Lamb (Thurston Fox & Hounds (A)) proposed it. It was Seconded by Shane Rudling (representing Thurston Fox & Hounds (B)). It was put to the vote, and carried. Therefore this season, all pairs will be best of three legs, 501 straight on.

The captain of the Stowmarket Oak requested that they do not have a home game on 13th or 20th of July, as their venue was having work done. This was noted.
