Group 1 = those preparing for employment / college.
Group 2 = those currently employed / in college.
Wednesday 5th January.Mahoney Hall 101
Group Members and Parents:New Years celebration – pot luck. Please bring food items and drinks to share with others.
Wednesday 2nd February. Mahoney Hall 101
Group Members:
Groups 1 & 2: Movie Night – we will vote on the movie by email. May need extended session from 5.30-7.30pm.
Parents:Networking with other parents; sharing ideas and resources.
Wednesday 2nd March. Mahoney Hall 104 (parents) and 101 (group members)
Group Members:
Group 1: Job interview role play night.
Group 2: Discussion topics of group’s choice (e.g. employment, college, dating, time management, current concerns etc.).
Parents:UML Admissions Office will present about the college admissions process, testing accommodations etc. Jody Goldstein from UML’s Disability Services office will come and talk about university accommodations and the case management work their office does at UML.
Wednesday 7th April.
Everyone: Pizza Night at Papa Ginos (parents / guardians sit in separate area - no offense!).
Wednesday 4th May. Mahoney Hall 104 (parents) and 101 (group members)
Group Members:
Group 1: Social activities including “Speed Friendship” and “Share your funniest UTube clip”.
Group 2: Discussion topics of group’s choice (e.g. employment, college, dating, time management, current concerns etc.).
Parents:Presentation and discussion on SSI/SSDI
Wednesday 1st June:
Everyone: Ice-cream sundaes at Heritage Farm restaurant on Pawtucket Boulevard (they also do other food there, see: for further details; parents / guardians sit in separate area - no offense!), followed by walk along the river.
Wednesday 6thJuly:
Group Members:
Group 1: Presentation topic to be chosen by group members. Examples: Employment / College / Independent Living / Leadership Skills / Relationships / Stress Management / Time Management / Financial Independence.
Group 2: Discussion topics of group’s choice (e.g. employment, college, dating, time management, current concerns etc.).
Parents:Networking with other parents; sharing ideas and resources.
Wednesday 10thAugust (not the first Wednesday of the month):
Everyone:Summer Celebration Annual Picnic.

Everyone: Coffee and Chat at Panera Bread on Drum Hill Road, Chelmsford (parents / guardians sit in separate area - no offense!).
