John Charles Terelak , one of America’s finest living impressionists, hails from Massachusetts and is past President of The New England
Watercolor Society. He works in oil, pastel and watercolor. In his demo, John will finish three paintings using his glazing technique.

As Art. “I have come to recognize that my work is very illustrative in that it projects an action or moment in time in a lighthearted, whimsical way. Hand made books have been an Art Form for centuries.”
Green Bags from Bailey’s: Pat Baker will be handing out the green bags to be painted on one side at the January meeting. This is a fund raiser for FISH. Instructions will be provided and these must be returned at the February Meeting. Starting a month earlier will give
us more exposure at Bailey’s.

There will be a 3 day plein air workshop, Feb. 20, 21, and 22 with Paul George. Cost is $250 for the 3 days. You may work in any medium.

Tuesdays January thru March 2012 – The Sanibel Moorings Botanical Gardens at the Sanibel Moorings Condo is inviting SanCap members to paint on the premises. Come anytime between 9 and 4 PM and set up anywhere in the gardens, after checking in with the front desk. You may bring bins of your work to sell. MEMBERS JUDGED SHOW AT THE SANIBEL LIBRARY
Receiving will be SAT. Feb. 4 (not Monday) from 9 to 12PM. Pick up
will be WEDS. March 7 from 9 to 12PM. Janet Rogers will be our judge. The reception and awarding of prizes will be at 5:00PM Feb. 9.
There will be a 1st of $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100, and 4 merits of $60.
Remember to label your best painting as No.1 entry- that will get in the show, the 2nd entry will be a backup if there is room to hang it.

INFORMAL PLEIN AIR TRIP to Italy’s Tuscan and AmalfiCoast
This trip is for those of us who love to paint out on site. These two beautiful regions of Italy will afford us plenty of opportunities to photograph, paint and sight see. There are 3 single spots available on a first come basis. Total artist/friend on trip is 44.
Randon Eddy is the organizer and will get all information to you upon request. The trip departs August 24, 2012 for 18 days. It consists of 7 days in Sorrento, AmalfiCoast and
7 days in Chianciao, Tuscany. The time in these towns is yours to use as you want. Included and optional side trips are available. These trips are included in the specific info.
