We are excited to tell you about the addition of the SilverSneakers Fitness Program to our Medicare Supplement Plans, which will help us remain competitive in the marketplace. Please read on for the most Frequently Asked Questions about the SilverSneakers Program:

SilverSneakers Fitness Program:

Q1. What Medicare Supplement Plans will SilverSneakers be added to as a value-added benefit?

A1: As we obtain approvals to add SilverSneakers in a state, the fitness program will be available on our currently marketed Medicare Supplement Plans A, F, and N (including Select plans). We are adding SilverSneakers to our plans in Ohio, beginning on September 1, 2016. Additional states will be added in the months to come.

Q2. Will SilverSneakers be available to only new enrollees as of its implementation date?

A2: No. SilverSneakers will be a value-added benefit for any new or existing members in our currently marketed over-age 65 plans.

Q3. Does the SilverSneakers Program cost extra to join?

A3. No. Medicare Supplement members can enjoy the SilverSneakers Program as a value-added benefit to their Medicare Supplement plan at no additional cost. As a value-added benefit, please remember it can change or be removed at any time.

Q4. What gym is associated with the SilverSneakers Program?

A4. SilverSneakers is offered at more than 13,000 gyms. Members may contact their local gym to see if they participate in the SilverSneakers program, or they can visit the website at www.silversneakers.com.

Q5. I don’t know much about fitness centers or how to use them. Will someone be available to help me?

A5. Yes. In addition to the multiple fitness center locations, SilverSneakers includes use of classes and guidance from a Program AdvisorTM.

Q6. Do I have to join a fitness center? I like exercising outdoors.

A6. No. SilverSneakers Steps® kits focus on at-home or on-the-go general fitness, walking, strength training or yoga. The SilverSneakers FLEXTM program includes classes and activities at local venues, such as parks, recreation centers and other facilities.
