TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET!

By Rick Kaselj of Exercises for Injuries

Our feet are probably the most neglected parts of our bodies yet they are the most used. We all want our feet to look and feel good at all times. They need tender, loving care to be at their best.

These are a few things you can do that will keep your feet happy:

#1 - Invest in a Good Foot Scrub

Our feet are the most neglected body part and yet they do most of the work for us all day. We use them from the moment we get out of bed to the moment we jump back into bed and even if we get eight hours of rest that’s still not enough.

Be kind to your feet and they will look after you for a long time to come.

Buy a good foot scrub and scrub your toes and your soles.Get rid of the dead skin cellsand have your feet looking fantastic. You can easily do this in the shower a couple times per week.

#2 -Sleep in Your Socks

You probably do this for most of winter to stay warm - the feet are the first to feel the cold. But, do you remember to take time to moisturize first? No?

Here’s what you can do.After a good foot scrub, grab some moisturizer and rub into your feet. All over the soles, rub it into the heels and around your toes. Then, slip your feet into some comfy socks. In the morning your feet might not be as good as new, at least not right away, but they will be softer to the touch and much better looking. Keep it up for a week and you’ll notice a significant difference.

#3 -Treat Your Feet to Regular Pedicures

Pedicures are great, especially if someone is doing them for you. However, if you’re not keen on a stranger massaging your feet and peeling away the yucky coat that grows over your heels then you can just easily give yourself a pedicure in the comfort and privacy of your own bathroom.

Grab a large bowl - fill it with water, add some Epsom salt (though table salt works well too), pour in some body wash or soap, andsoak your feet for ten or fifteen minutes. Once your feet have had a good soak and are feeling softer, pat them dry and cut your toenails, clean underneath them, cut out the flaky skin and give them a nice little massage. They deserve it!
