VARIATION

1.Delete paragraph (a) of subclause 2.1 of clause 2, Title, Application and Duration of the award published 14 September 2012 (374 I.G. 1060), and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(a)This Award shall be known as the Sydney Catchment Authority Consolidated Award 2012-2014.

2.Delete the table appearing in subclause (a) of clause 10, Rates of Pay, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

3.Delete subclause (b) of clause 41, Overtime Meal Allowances and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(b)The amount of meal allowance will be adjusted in line with adjustments made to the reasonable amounts for the overtime meal allowance determined by the Australian Taxation Office from time to time, rounded to the nearest five (5) cents. The amounts of meal allowance at the time the Award is varied are as follows:

4.Delete subparagraphs (a) and (b) of subclause (i) of clause 42, Fire Fighting Allowance and insert in lieu thereof the following:

An employee engaged in on-ground fire fighting, including on-ground hazard reduction burning, will be paid an allowance per hour, as outlined in Schedule 2 Summary-Allowances, for the hours they are so engaged in fighting fires as follows:

5.Delete subparagraphs (A) and (B) of paragraph (i) of subclause 43, Camping Allowance, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(A) An allowance for each day the employee is required to camp or live in quarters to cover food, Incidentals and general disability of:

6.Delete subclause (a) of clause 44, First Aid Allowance and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(a)An employee who possesses a current recognised first aid certificate and a continuing ability to undertake first aid responsibilities and who has been appointed as a First Aid Employee will be paid a flat rate allowance per fortnight for the duration of the appointment, as outlined in Schedule 2 Summary- Allowances, as follows:

7.Insert a new subclause 55.5 in clause 55, Consultative Procedures, as follows:

55.5Consultative Committee

55.5.1 The parties to this award (SCA, ASU & APESMA) will establish a Joint Consultative Committee (JCC). The JCC is established to foster a positive organisational climate and to provide members with a forum in the pursuit of raising matters in good faith and resolving them in the best interests of the SCA and its staff in a cooperative manner.

55.5.2The JCC is a dedicated forum for discussion; it has neither the mandate nor power to make decisions.

55.5.3The functions of the JCC may include:

discussion on employment relations matters that may be raised by either management or the unions;

consider reports by management and unions on a range of issues including management reports on relevant materials that would affect the well-being and interests of employees;

theoperation of the JCC does not affect any rights of access to the normal dispute resolution procedures of the Award.

55.5.4The parties will advise each other a week in advance of the names of committee members attending the scheduled meeting at the JCC.

55.5.5The committee may co-opt other personal for advisory purposes on specific issues or invite staff members to expedite committee business.

55.5.6The committee will in normal circumstances meet once every three months on the third Tuesday of the month or as the committee otherwise deems necessary.

55.5.7Any one of the parties can call an extraordinary meeting by giving a minimum three working days’ notice of such meeting to the other parties.

55.5.8The JCC will establish Terms of Reference to include processes for the conduct of meetings that shall be maintained on the SCA intranet site."

8.Delete Schedule 1 - Rates of Pay, and insert in lieu thereof the following:
