Subject: Trial Blends Graph for Qpro or Lotus?

I want to plot the %passing vs sieve size in milli-meters raised to the

0.45 power in a qpro or lotus spreadsheet. The problem is that the

x-axis grid line intervals are uniform. It should look something like

a log-scale.

I have done it in SAS but would rather use a pc spreadsheet.

Please email me a copy if you have accomplished this in qpro or lotus.

TIA

I've also been looking for a way to plot aggregate blends on a log scale

with Lotus. So far, no success. I haven't tried it on Quattro-pro yet.

So if anybody out there has the solution, I'm sure many of us would

appreciate hearing from you.

1) My Trial Blends Graph(s) for Lotus

I wish to thank the 4 email repliers again and hope you all enjoy my

version. You can download it at

Note: My sheet can handle up to 5 trial blends with up to 6 materials for

the 5 superpave size designs. It plots the restricted zone, maximum

density line, control points, shows only the x-axis grid lines for each

size sieve raised to the 0.45 power, labels top x-axis in metric and bottom

in US units, and up to five trial blends.

Please email me if you find a typo or glaring error. I have not had time

to test it in production yet and it is somewhat rough in spots.

More details below:

I had posted a request for a lotus or qpro spreadsheet that showed the

plotting of the trial blends percent passing vs. sieve sizes raised to the

0.45 power. Lotus and qpro are the two spreadsheets that I wanted to use.

I recieved 4 emails on the subject with 2 excel spreadsheets and one lotus.

Unfortunately, the graphs did not translate from the 2 excel spread sheets

and the lotus one was not what I needed. I did gleam enough from them to

come up with my own that I would like to share with any that want it (there

was one request).
