CALL TO ORDER

Charles Smith,acting in the Chair’s absence, called the Business meeting of the State Board of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration (“HVACR”) Contractors to order at 10:34 a.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The members reviewed the minutes of the July 13, 2016, Business Meeting, MOTION made by Mr. Smallwood, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, and unanimously carried to approve the minutes as written.

APPLICATION REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT

None.

COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

Board member, Charlie Smith, gave an oral report of following complaints:

HVAC160028 – Pre-charge (suspension after hearing)

HVAC160065- Consent Order

HVAC160076- Rebate to Customer

HVAC160090 -Consent order

HVAC160100-Tabled until September Meeting

HVAC160101-Investigation

HVAC160102-Investigation

HVAC160103 - Investigation

HVAC160107-Criminal Court (waiting outcome)

HVAC160110-Closed (monetary)

HVAC160111 - Closed (warranty)

HVAC170001 -Closed (warranty)

There were twelve (12) complaints reviewed for which three (3) complaints were closed, one (1) sent to pre-charge, two (2) consent order, one (1) criminal court, one (1) tabled, one (1) rebate requested, and three (3) forwarded to investigation. There are eleven (11) new complaints received and Mr. Smith reported that the Complaint Committee is currently up to date with review and resolutions of complaints.

MOTION was made by Mr. Smallwood, seconded by Mr. Schmidt and unanimously carried to approve the Complaint Committee report.
