CFP 2017-2018 Absent Policy

  • Perfect attendance is anticipated, expected, and necessary for spiritual growth. Illness cannot be helped. When absence does occur, parents should call Sandra Porada in the Parish Office at 398-3821, Ext. 3111 or if before 4:30 PM on Friday afternoon e-mail or , for the child to be excused.
  • When leaving a message or e-mail please indicate the child’s name, grade level, teacher and room number.
  • Attendance records are kept on file with the Program Administrator at the Parish Office. Parents will be contacted if a child has more than three unexcused absences. It is important that parents schedule these sessions for the entire year, and put Christian Formation for their children as a high priority on a weekly basis. *Please schedule all extra-curricular events at another time. Families need to make up missed lessons and assignments and give them to the catechist at the next class date.
  • At-Home Parent guides are available at under the Parent/Family tab and further instructions are the document below.
  • When missing a class, make sure to turn in your Interactive Session Review and CFP Absentee Completion Form found on to your catechist your returning week.
  • If you have a conflict beyond 3 classes, please contact Kristen Tell or Lauren Zinnecker to discuss options.

Make-up Class Instructions for CFP

  • Please click the link for the Family Resource section of theFinding God program from Loyola Press:
  • Under the,Select Grade/Resourceheader, click on your child’s grade level. The At-Home Editions are available by Units.
  • Select the Unit Level for the missed lesson. There are 5 lessons in each unit.
  • Unit 1 – Lessons 1 to 5
  • Unit 2 – Lessons 6 to 10
  • Unit 3 – Lessons 11 to 15
  • Unit 4 – lessons 16 to 20
  • Unit 5 – Lessons 21 to 25
  • The At-Home pages will lead you through how to teach your child the lesson at home.
  • The top right hand corner of the pages will indicate the lesson number.
  • Print the pages that you will need for teaching the lesson to your child.
  • Your child will need to complete the Interative Session Review that is located below the At-Home teaching guides on the website..
  • Please email your child’s results to . This is an option that is available at the end of each Interactive Session Review.
  • Have your child complete the student workbook pages that correspond with the lesson.
  • Print and complete the CFP Absentee Form and bring the form to the next CFP class to turn in to the classroom catechist.
