In order to ensure a safe environment and successful year for all the students, the Physical Education Dept. would like to inform all parents and guardians of the rules, procedures and regulations that students are expected to follow at SANCHEZ MIDDLE School. Coaches are not responsible for lost or stolen items. All students will be required to suit out with the designated SANCHEZ MIDDLE P.E. uniform and participate on a daily basis.

Class Expectations:

  1. Be respectful, polite and courteous to others.
  2. Keep hands, feet, objects & comments to yourself.
  3. Be on time and prepared with:
  1. Athletic Clothing SANCHEZ MIDDLE P.E. Uniform (Set $17.00)
  1. Sweater and jackets are permitted during the winter season
  2. Uniforms must be kept clean with no graffiti writing or tears (write name in box only)
  3. Running shoes at all time.
  4. Pencil and notebook/folder.
  1. Visors, caps and sunscreen ( for outdoors)-
  2. Any food, gum, drinks, MP3s, cell phones, and game systems are prohibited during class time; will be confiscated.
  3. Dress code is based on school policy.
  4. If a student is going to be excused from the activity, the student must have a valid parent and/or doctor’s note cleared by the school nurse. Students should submit excuses to the nurse before coming to P.E. class.
  5. Communication between parents and coaches is encouraged to resolve any concerns before addressing them to administration.

1ST Verbal Warning

2nd Student/Teacher conference

3rd Student/Teacher conference and parent phone call.

4th Conference with parents

5th Parent will be notified and student will be given an office referral. (Level 1 of Student Code of Conduct)

Grading Policy: Daily Grade (participation/suit out) 50% Skills Test, projects, and quizzes 40% and 9 weeks exam 10%.

Progress Reports: Are sent out at the end of 3rd and 6th week of the 9 week period.

SANCHEZ MIDDLEPhysical Education Locker Rooms Rules

  1. All lockers should be secured at all times with a combination lock required.
  2. Lockers should be used only during P.E. class. All Locks should be removed daily for hygiene purposes .
  3. There should be no sharing of lockers
  4. Combinations should be kept confidential, (please no key locks).
  5. Please keep all possessions in lockers during class, with lock. These possessions include jewelry and any electronic devices. If anything is left outside the locker it will be at therisk of the students.
  6. Please stay with your possessions at all times, until they are secure in the locker.
  7. Please use the restrooms at the beginning of class and at the end of class. Each student will have 2 opportunities to go to the restroom. There will be no other opportunities to use the restroom.

It is the responsibility of student to secure their possessions. The school is unable to take any responsibility for any lost or stolen items. By signing this paper we are able to cut a student’s locker if for any reason that the student can’t open, forgot or lost combination number.
