REQUIREMENTS TO VALIDATE VICTORIAN OR TASMANIAN CREDENTIALS

A credential validation (“dichiarazione di valore”) is an official statementfor the assessment by Italy’s relevant authorities of the comparability of credentials obtained from Victoria/Tasmania-based institutions. For employment or professional purposes, a CV is mandatory for validly applying for a certificate of “equipollenza” from the relevant Ministry in Italy, as well as for a certain study visas.

Applications with all the documents listed may be delivered in person or by post to the address below. Unless otherwise stated, all documents may only be produced in original version or notarized copy. Incomplete applications will neither be processed nor returned, unless a return envelope/satchel is provided.

Once the application and all the documents have been perused, the applicant will be notified by e-mail of the consular fees applicable, based on the amount of translations to be endorsed and on the validation’s purpose. Fees can be paid (a) in cash upon collection (b) via APMO made payable to the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne by filling the reason field with “DVL” followed by the applicant’s name, or (c) by bank transfer, including from overseas.

2. Plain copy of applicant’s valid passport/photo-ID.
3. VCE and ‘statement of results’, issued by the VCAA.Apostìlle and Italian translation required.
4. ATAR certificate (only for University enrollment in Italy).Apostìlle and Italian translation required.
5. Statement from the Victorian/Tasmanian school where the VCE was obtained, on official letterhead signed by the Principal, with the following details:

student’s exact and full name, date and place of birth;

number of years the student attended the school and year the VCE was obtained;

subjects studied each year with final marks/results and explanatory key;

confirmation that the school is accredited with the Department of Education, school registration numberand institution type (public, private, religious denomination);

NON-FINAL YEARor training certificates
