Sheet One - From the North, West and South

Train Service: There is a frequent service on the Waterloo to Portsmouth line. For information, telephone 0845 748 4950. The clinic is five to ten minutes walk from the station. (See map).

By Road: Summary: Petersfield is on the A3 trunk road making access from the south west and from the Guildford area very easy. The A3 links with the M25 at Junction 10. Please note that this is a busy stretch of the M25.

London, Guildford, Haslemere and Woking areas: By train or on the ‘A3 southwards’ (below).

Camberley, Fleet, Farnham areas: Average journey time from Farnham is 30 minutes. Use the A331 from Camberley (follow Birdworld signs) to join the A31 through Farnham. From Farnham, use the A325 past Birdworld. Progress is rather slow on this road. You will eventually join the A3 just north of Liss and then follow the A3 southwards.

A3 southwards: The clinic is approximately 45 minutes from the M25/A3 junction and 35 minutes from Guildford. However, there may be road works at Hindhead.

  1. Avoid the firstPetersfield exit signposted Midhurst A272, but take the second exit marked Petersfield, Winchester (A272) & Industrial Estate.
  2. Turn left towards the town centre and follow the road across the small roundabout. Continue past the VW showroom and across the level crossing.
  3. Turn right 20 yards past the level crossing into Charles Street. Follow this down the gradual hill and past 2 main junctions.
  4. When you reach the T junction, turn left and then immediately right, through the gap between flint stone walls.
  5. Continue down this tarmac driveway for 30 metres and it opens out into our car park. The clinic is on your left.

Basingstoke, Reading, Alton: Drive to Alton (through Hook from Reading), under the railway bridge, and now follow the signs to Selbourne (B3006), since this is quicker and easier than the indicated ‘Petersfield route’. You will join the A3 near Liss, then follow the ‘A3 southwards’ instructions. Average journey time from Alton is 25 minutes.

Andover, Oxford, Newbury & Winchester: Use the A34 down to Winchester. Cross the M3 at Winchester and follow the signs to Petersfield (A272). You will enter Petersfield under the A3 with MacDonalds on your left. From this point, follow the ‘A3 southwards’ route from point 2.

Average journey time from M3 junction 9 at Winchester is 30 minutes.

New Forest, Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth: This is a very simple route, and well signposted. On the M27 to Portsmouth area where it turns into the A27, 4 miles after junction 12, the left lane of the A27 forks off for London - A3(M). Follow A3 northwards:

Salisbury: Either the A30 towards Winchester or the A36 to join the M27 near Southampton.

A3 northwards: The A3(M) motorway turns into a good dual carriageway at Junction 1.

a)5 miles later you may turn off at the first Petersfield exit.

b)Turn left at the first roundabout following the signs into Petersfield. Go straight across the next two roundabouts (the second is the Tesco roundabout) and immediately turn next left into Hylton Road.

c)Follow for 300metres past the green on your left and Sheep Street on your right.

d)Slow for the pinch point (traffic calming), since you will need to turn left into our tarmac driveway immediately after this and before Charles Street on the right.

Estimated journey times: The clinic is 45 minutes from junction 3 of the M27 and 25 minutes from junction 12.
