"ISQED always has a high-level of quality represented in its technical program," said Rich Goldman, vice president of Strategic Alliances at Synopsys, Inc. "It is a strong statement of Synopsys' dedication to design quality that our employees have authored two of the four best papers this year."

"Magma is delighted to be a co-sponsor of the 2005 ISQED 'Best Paper Awards,' since ISQED is dedicated, to quality research in IC design and automation," said Hamid Savoj, Magma's senior vice president of Product Development. "At Magma, we believe it is important to support the IC and EDA design research and development community through conferences such as ISQED. The innovations published in such conferences contribute directly to the development of EDA tools for nanometer geometries."

ABOUT ISQED

The International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED), is a premier Design & Design Automation conference, aimed at bridging the gap between and integration of: electronic design tools and processes, integrated circuit technologies, processes and manufacturing in order to achieve design quality. ISQED is the pioneer and leading conference dealing with design for manufacturability and quality issues. The conference provides a forum to present and exchange ideas and to promote the research, development, and application of design techniques & methods, design processes, EDA design methodologies and EDA tools that address issues impacting the quality of the realization of designs into physical integrated circuits. ISQED emphasizes a holistic approach toward design quality and highlights and accelerates cooperation among the IC Design, EDA, Semiconductor Process Technology and Manufacturing communities.

ISQED is produced and sponsored by the International Society for Quality Electronic Design. The ISQED '05 best paper awards were sponsored by Synopsys Inc. ( and Magma Design Automation Inc. (
