  1. Review/Approve past minutes (printed minutes not present, will review next meeting)
  1. Treasurers report
  2. Deposits $3325.09 from registrations
  3. Expenditures include facility use fee for open gyms and registration ads, $198.30.

  1. Park Board Update
  2. March 28 meeting – indication that lacrosse team may want to use Keenes, board is against this – meeting agenda and minutes available for review
  3. Next meeting would have been April 18th, this meeting has been canceled and replaced by walkthroughs on Tuesday, April 25.

  2. 2017 Coaches meeting: Sunday, April 9, 2017 at PACC
  3. 10U, 12U 5:00-6:30
  4. 14U, 16U, 18U 6:30-8:00
  5. Bert, Jon are going, others?
  6. Team Registration closes April 14 – Bert will register all teams by team number
  7. League scheduling meeting is set for April 23
  8. Umpire certification training is April 30th, 6-8 p.m. at PACC
  9. Umpire clinic is May 21st 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Basswood Fields

  2. Approve New Board Member: Laura Kleffman: Motion Seboe, Second Bert, Passes
  3. Tricia Nunez will join at next board meeting, invite Bryan Gustafson?
  4. Coaches should register for tournaments, treasurer will pay, Danette will put link on coaches page on website
  5. 12U and 14U
  6. 12U Coaches: Bert Ewer and Krystal Berg
  7. 14U Coaches: Ron Martin and Mike Mihalik
  8. Jo Carlson will be 14U and HSSA Pitching Instructor
  9. Bert will contact to set up regular weekly pitching practice
  10. Coaches can contact her to request her help at practices
  11. Player Evaluations
  12. June 23
  13. Rose Road (gym was reserved for open gym – rain backup)
  14. U12 3-5 pm (pitchers/catchers stay until 5:30)
  15. U14 5-7 pm (Pitchers/catchers come at 4:30)
  16. Coaches and board will evaluate
  17. Coaches and board will meet at 7 to divide teams
  18. Danette will create google form to gather top 2 positions and to verify jersey size
  19. 10U Catchers Gear
  20. request from coaches for larger set in each team bag
  21. Jim Sonneson will get them
  22. Coach scorebooks: Bert will get as many as possible from AFL meeting, purchase any additional
  23. Rookie League: request from Melissa Nagarian of Duluth
  24. Esko and Proctor may also have rookie teams
  25. Bert will contact Liza and determine if we can schedule scrimmages with other teams
  26. Field Prep
  27. Board members initial prep day Sunday, April 9, 2017, 1-3
  28. 2017 Prep Day with volunteers April 30, 1-3 pm
  29. Danette will email those who volunteered for field prep
  30. Practice Calendar
  31. May calendar is up
  32. June/July will be posted after schedules are done so games can be blocked out
  33. Priority to 14U teams
  34. Background Checks/Concussion Training
  35. Bert will put new links up and email coaches to complete
  36. Bert will track coaches
  37. Coaches will be informed that volunteer fee will be refunded at completion of both
  38. 2017 Sponsors
  39. Danette will contact parents who indicated they would sponsor
  40. Bert/Kelli will email Danette list of past sponsors
  41. Danette will take care of gathering information and collecting fees
  42. Danette will contact Kelli with team sponsors names
  43. Open Gyms
  44. No more in April, 23rd will be used for evaluations if needed
  45. Krystal will book additional Sundays in May for open gym
  46. Time should be extended to 10U, as well
  47. Possible pitcher/catcher practice/parent clinic
  48. New Business
  49. Laura Kleffman is willing to take on treasurer duties
