-You will be creating a collection using current technology. On a computer go to . You will need to register, but it costs nothing.
-Once you have registered, click “Create” at the top of the page. You will see “Create a collage” on the left side of the page and different tabs and icons on the left. This will act as your presentation board.
-There should be tabs that are titled “Fashion”, “Home”, “My Items”, “Collections”. Click on the “Fashion” button on the top right. You should see categories of clothing items under a “Browse” title, an Embellishments” title with several categories, and “Make a statement” title. You will use these to find items to use in your collection. There are an unlimited amount of items to choose from. You will spend a good amount of time looking through these categories to find just the right items for your collection.
-Everything you add to the set will be placed on top of the last thing you added.
-I do recommend that you choose your background first though. This can be your jumping off point and set the mood of your collection. The background you choose should “go with” the collection you create.
-Next, start with an item that you can pull an entire collection out of. I suggest something with color and pattern so that you have the options of choosing different colors and styles from. If you want to look at dresses, then just click on the dress and it will give you thousands of different dresses to look at.
-You can click “background” at the top of the top of your “presentation board” and that will change an item from being in front or in back of other items. Play around with different items to see how it all works.
-The “clear” button will take you back to the beginning (shoes, tops, outerwear, dresses, pants, etc).
Directions:
You are to create a collection of clothes that could be mixed and matched or that go together (harmony). You need to have at least 5 garment items, 2 shoes, 2 bags, and some jewelry. You also need to have a background. All items must be appropriate for a school project, including the background and any words. You will then type up a half page to a full page describing your experience, feelings, outcome, and critique of your collection using correct English, spelling, and grammar. Most of all, have fun.
Grading Rubric:
10 - 9 = Excellent
8 = Good
7 = Satisfactory
6 = Needs work
5 - 0 = Did not follow direction / Did not understand directions
