Write a 2 - 3 pg research paper or put together a PowerPoint presentation (in a group of 2) that explains and answers the following questions. Make sure you are as detailed as possible. Explain it as though I don’t understand what you are talking about:

  1. Explain your topic in detail: What is it? Who does it relate to or who does it affect? What does it mean?
  2. What are the facts: How often does this happen in the world? Why does it happen?
  3. What are the consequences or negative affects of the topic in the world? What would happen if we did not do anything to stop this from happening in the world? What are some problems associated with your topic?
  4. What does the Catholic Church believe regarding your topic? Is it accepted? If not, then what does the Church say we should believe. Why?
  5. Are there alternatives to your topic? Is there something else that people can do instead of disrespecting life? (i.e. alternative to abortion is adoption)
  6. Why do we need to respect all life from “womb to tomb”?
  7. What can teens to do show they respect life on your topic?
  8. Find 4 - 5 bible verses speaks about respect life
  9. If you find any information that is important for us to know, please feel free to include that as well.

You can use google scholar, ebsco, health or government websites for sources. Do not use Wikipedia or any other websites.

You should put everything in your own words – do not just copy and paste information from the internet.

If you are typing your paper you need to (remember this is an individual assignment):

Write in 12 Times New Roman Font

Double- space your paper

Make sure there is an intro, body, and conclusion.

Make sure you “quote” any information you get from the internet (in parentheses but the author of the source)

For a Powerpoint (no more than 2 per group):

Make sure you include your source on every slide

Include pictures

Include a video whether it is one you put together or one you found on youtube that is appropriate to explain your topic

Make sure you present without looking the screen

Make sure you don’t put too much information on the slides

Check for spelling and grammar

For paper grading rubric:

  1. Did the student explain the topic and answer all the questions in detail? _____/25
  2. Did the student have an introduction, body, and conclusion? _____/10
  3. Were there any grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes? ______/5
  4. Was there a work cited/bibliography? Did she use proper sources? _____/5
