SCHEDULE TO SPECIFICATION

Clause 1 / (i) Precise Levelling From 2010BM015to 2010BM017Jalan Batang Duri as shown on the Annex Diagram A is 4.8km.
(ii)To facilitate topographic and engineering surveys work.
  1. The list of new Bench Marks as follows:-

  1. All lines are to be levelled independently in both forward and backward directions.

  1. In order that the results of the control levelling may be as widely useful as possible, particularly in regard to mapping the elevation of suitable adjacent to the level line will be determined. These points, which are to be known as ‘Intermediate Marks’ will normally be road intersections, decks of bridges, etc.

  1. Any establishment of ‘Intermediate Marks’ shall be approved by Surveyor General.

Clause 2 /
  1. The maximum length of sight shall not be more than 40 meter. Due to the slope of the ground or to shimmer the length of sight may often be shorter than this. Total distances of works is normally 1.5km but it may varies due to suitability of the area.

  1. Two backward and two foresight observations shall be taken. Differences between observations shall not exceed 0.04572 cm. The difference in length between backsight and corresponding foresight shall not exceed 1.2 meter.

  1. Acceptable precise digital level and levelling bar-coded Invar staff shall be used. The staff is to be set always on a staff set up pin. These pins are different length for hard and soft ground and have rounded tops. A ring is attached to the pin to facilitate lifting and carrying. The staff shall be erected vertically by using plate bubble attached on the staff.

  1. Observation of new benchmarks shall only be taken at least after one month of their construction.

  1. Read out from the instrument shall be set to five (5) decimal places.

  1. All observation shall be booked in a field note produced by Survey Department (GDC03) and recorded digitally. As a checking procedure, the digitally recorded observation shall be printed out and submitted to Survey Department.

  1. Clear diagrams shall be drawn digitally, sufficient offset or ties to permanent features nearest from benchmark for future location. It is essential that all record /data are made in the field note at the time of measurement.

  1. Digital photo of the Benchmark stations shall be taken.
  1. Diagrams and photos shall be in JPEG format. Please refer to the existing GDC001 for the diagrams requirements.
  1. The Locality Map shall be produced at a suitable scale. The format of Locality Map (but not limited to) as shown on the Annex Diagram B. The Locality Map shall be in A3 size.

  1. All relevant forms can be obtained digitally from Geodetic Section

Clause 3 /
  1. Height closes within an allowable error of  3 k mm where k is the distance in kilometre.

Clause 4 /
  1. Any control marks running along the bench marks shall be connected.

Clause 5 /
  1. Any matters arises which are not in this specification shall be referred to Geodetic Section of Survey Department.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR.

Clause 10 / (1)To be supplied by Contractor.
(2)To be supplied by Surveyor General.
(3)To be supplied by Contractor.
Clause 34 / Time of completion of works
For,
“………a penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be levied against the contractor for each week or part thereof…..”
substitute and read as,
“……..a penalty of ( 15 percent of contract price divided by the contract duration in weeks ) or two thousands five hundred dollars ($2,500.00), whichever is the greater, shall be levied against the contractor for each week or part thereof….”
Clause 37 / Payment shall be based upon :
(1)Control Survey (section 4) – rate per kilometer.
(2)Monthly progress payments shall be made based upon the Surveyor General’s certification of work done as portion of the whole.
(3)No mobilization fee shall be payable.
Clause 6 / The Surveyor General shall authorize the contractor to commence work, once the signing of the contract document
