Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He

dreamed he was walking along the

beach with the LORD, Across the sky

flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets

of footprints in the sand, one belong-

ing to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed

before him, he looked back at the foot-

prints in the sand. He noticed that

many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the

very lowest and saddest times in his

life.

This really bothered him and he

questioned the LORD about it.

"LORD, you said that once I decided

to follow you, you'd walk with me all

the way. But I have noticed that during

the most troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints, I

don't understand why you would leave

me when I needed you most." The

LORD replied, "My precious child, I

love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffer-

ing, when you see only one set of foot-

prints, it was then that I carried you."

TAPS

Day is done, gone the sun,

From the hills, from the lake,

From the skies.

All is well, safely rest,

God is nigh.

Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,

May the soldier or sailor,

God keep.

On the land or the deep,

Safe in sleep.

Love, good night, Must thou go,

When the day, And the night

Need thee so?

All is well. Speedeth all

To their rest.

Fades the light; And afar

Goeth day, And the stars

Shineth bright,

Fare thee well; Day has gone,

Night is on.

Thanks and praise, For our days,

'Neath the sun, Neath the stars,

'Neath the sky,

As we go, This we know,

God is nigh.

Salmo 23

Jehova es mi Pastor. Nada me faltara.

En luggares de delicados pastor me

hara yacer. Junta a aguas de repose me

pastoreara. Comfotara mi alma:

Guiarme por sendas de justicia por

amor de su nombre. Aunque ande en

valle de sombra de muerte no temere

mal alguno, porque tu estaras

conmigo. Tu vara y Tu cayado me

infundiran aliento Aderezaras mesa

delante de mi en presencia de mis

agustiadores. Ungiste mi cabeza con

aceite mi copa esta rebosando.

Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia

me sequiran todos los dias de mi vida.

Y en casa de Jehova morare por largos

dias.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come; Thy will be

done on earth as it is in

heaven. Give us this day our daily

bread. And forgive us our trespass-

es, as we forgive those who tres-

pass against us. And lead us not

into temptation, but deliver us

from evil. For Thine is the king-

dom, and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen.

For A Moment

For a moment, a sunset glows,

then, fades into night.

Though brief was its beauty,

the memory still lives on...

...you do not forget

For a moment,

a flower blooms into its glory,

then, quickly withers away.

Though brief was its beauty,

the memory still lives on...

...you do not forget

For a moment,

a rainbow bursts from the clouds,

then, melts into the sky.

Though brief was its beauty,

the memory still lives on...

...you do not forget

For a moment,

a shooting star radiates with light,

then, trails into darkness.

Though brief was its beauty,

the memory still lives on...

...you do not forget

For a moment, I was with you,

then, too soon, I was taken away.

Though brief was our time together,

my memory still lives on...

...you do not forget

The Bridge

Listen as my footsteps fall

upon this long and weary bridge...

this bridge of joy, happiness and peace,

this bridge of sorrow, regret and grief.

One step at a time, ever slowly moving

upon this long and weary bridge...

this bridge of joy, happiness and peace,

this bridge of sorrow, regret and grief.

This bridge I walk is but a path,

ever treading to its end...

this bridge of joy, happiness and peace,

this bridge of sorrow, regret and grief.

Yet up ahead, I think I behold

at the end of this long and weary bridge...

this bridge of joy, happiness and peace,

this bridge of sorrow, regret and grief.

Yes, I see unending days and fields of green

at the end of this long and weary bridge...

this bridge of joy, happiness and peace,

this bridge of sorrow, regret and grief.

Listen as my footsteps cease

upon this long and weary bridge...

no more sorrow, regret or grief,

now, only joy, happiness and peace.

The Pathway Home

As I walk the pathway home,

Do not shed a single tear,

Nor carry the burden of bitter woe.

Pity me not, for I journey home

amid the pathway of flowers in bloom.

As I walk the pathway home,

Do not dwell on my troubles and strife.

My load is lifted; my pain is gone.

Do not remember my darkest days,

But look to the garden where

I shall soon roam.

As I walk the pathway home,

The road is now easy, The garden I behold.

It calls me home and I must travel on.

So, do not be sad, but rejoice,

The pathway I now walk leads me home.

The Rose

Though the rose may wither,

it shall one day bloom again.

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken

in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there; I did not die.

I Thought About You With Love Today.

I thought of you with love today,

but that is nothing new

I thought about you yesterday

and days before that too,

I think of you in silence,

I often speak your name

All I have are memories

and your picture in a frame

Your memory is my keepsake

with which I’ll never part

God has you in His keeping,

I have you in my heart.
