NOMINATION FORM FORNORTHERN TERRITORY REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS

Nominations are now being called for both male and female bowlers for the NT Representative teams(Restricted Challenge, Seniors Challenge, Walter Rachuig Trophy) to compete at the 2016 Australian Tenpin Bowling Championships, to be held at Tenpin City Lidcombe Sydney NSW

Please read all information carefully so that you have a full understanding of what criteria a bowler must meet, how the teams will be selected, proposed budget and payment commitments.

SELECTION CRITERIA:(as previously advertised)

RESTRICTED CHALLENGE TEAM / SENIORS CHALLENGE TEAM / WALTER RACHUIG TROPHY TEAM
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold TBA league membership
  • Hold a league or tournament average over 12 games of 174 or below for women and 184 or below for men
Selection Criteria:
Points will be awarded for results on the following basis:
Darwin or Alice Springs Championships 2015
Australian Tenpin Bowling Championships All Events 2015
Restricted All-Stars 2015
NT Championships 2016
** Please note that 3 positions in both the men’s and women’s team will be decided using the criteria.
** One position in both the men’s and women’s team will be reserved for selection independent of the points system / Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold TBA silver membership
  • Hold a league or tournament average over 12 games above of 165 or above for women and 180 or above for men
  • Be 50 years of age or more in the year of competition
Selection Criteria:
Points will be awarded for results on the following basis:
Darwin or Alice Springs Championships 2015
Australian Tenpin Bowling Championships All Events 2015
Seniors All-Stars 2015
NT Championships 2016
Top 5 finish for women or top 20 finish for men in a ranked Seniors Tournament
Medals as a member of an Australian National Seniors Team
** Please note that 3 positions in both the men’s and women’s team will be decided using the criteria.
** One position in both the men’s and women’s team will be reserved for selection independent of the points system / Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold TBA silver membership
  • Hold a league or tournament average over 12 games above of 175 or above for women and 185 or above for men
Selection Criteria:
Automatic inclusion:
  • Rachuig All Stars 2015
  • Member of an Australian Open Team
Points will be awarded for results on the following basis:
Darwin or Alice Springs Championships 2015
Australian Tenpin Bowling Championships All Events 2015
NT Championships 2016
Australian National Training Squad 2015/16
Australian National Team selection 2015/16
Ranked events – Top 15 finish (from June 2015 to May 2016)
Double points will be allocated for:
Top 24 finish for Men or Top 15 finish for Women in:
The Australian Masters 2015
Overseas Ranked tournament
** Please note that four (4) positions in both the men’s and women’s team will be decided using the criteria.
** Two (2) positions in both the men’s and women’s team will be reserved for selection independent of the points system

Payment Criteria:
  • Pay a Nomination Fee of $100 per team nominating for, when lodging this nomination form which has a non-refundable amount of $25 if you are not successful in the team
  • Pay deposit of $500 on team expenses by 15th June 2016
  • Pay further amount of $500 by 29th July 2016
  • Pay Balance of amount by 16th September 2016
**Weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment systems can be organised with NTTBA Financial controller
  • Assist with team fundraising which will be deducted from your expenses invoice. Fundraising opportunities are available with the Darwin or Alice Springs Fundraising Committee
Other Information re: Costs
  • Deductions prior to final balance being paid will include any fundraising credits accrued.
  • All costs are estimated at present and will be confirmed once final costs are available
  • Any travel assistance available from NT Government will be paid upon return from the Australian Championships.
  • If spouses are travelling, please advise Lea Kirwin immediately so thatextra accommodation arrangements can bemade. At present all accommodation bookings made is only to accommodate team members.

  • Be able to arrive in Sydney on Friday 7thOctober, 2016
  • Accommodation has been organised forcheck out Friday14th October 2016
  • Bowlers wishing to extend their stay in Sydney after their bowling commitments are completed will need to arrange their own accommodation
  • Arrange air travel to coordinate with team transport
  • It is desirable that team members stay in the team accommodation (whilst it is not mandatory team members not staying in team accommodation will need to advise the financial controller and/or the NT Teams’ Coordinator(s) no later than 10 June 2016

  • Be able to arrive in Sydney on Friday 14th October, 2016
  • Accommodation has been organised for check out Friday 21st October, 2016
  • Bowlers wishing to extend their stay in Sydney after their bowling commitments are completed will need to arrange their own accommodation
  • Arrange air travel to coordinate with team transport
  • It is desirable that team members stay in the team accommodation (whilst it is not mandatory team members not staying in team accommodation will need to advise the financial controller and/or the NT Teams’ Coordinator(s) no later than 10 June 2016

  • Bowlers not qualifying for the Australian Masters may leave on Friday 28th October, 2016. The Australian Masters is scheduled for Friday 28th & Saturday 29th October 2016so team members staying for entire event will be able to depart on Sunday 30th October 2015
  • Bowlers wishing to arrive earlier or leave later will need to arrange their own accommodation
  • Arrange air travel to coordinate with team transport
  • It is desirable that team members stay in the team accommodation (whilst it is not mandatory team members not staying in team accommodation will need to advise the financial controller and/or the NT Teams’ Coordinator(s) no later than 10 June 2016

Travel To/From Australian Championships:
  • Your air or road travel to and from the Australian Championships and is at your own expense in addition to the fees indicated above.
  • If travelling by air, you will be required to book your own flight and advise NT Teams’ Coordinator(s) of your travel details so that airport pick up and drop can be arranged for you
