No country can survive socialism, It just doesn't happen. Sooner or later the bill comes due.

As a small business owner all I can say is that I think the current sentiment in the small business community is that we didn't sign up for this shit. Y'all can vote for whatever the hell you want but we, the small business owners are not going to be a part of it.

I have seen more owners get out of the business or retire in the past couple of years, including myself, than ever before and with the ACA on the horizon, the jobs these businesses produced will not be replaced. The economics no longer work. This is why unemployment is always so high in socialist countries. What you have to go through to have employees is just brutal.

The unemployment is over 8% of documented unemployed, add on top of that the ones that no longer receive unemployment, ones that could never get unemployment and self employed, that makes it about 18% unemployed.

But here's the thing about what Obama said, he has it exactly backwards. The government didn't build any of that shit he is talking about! WE built it, with our sweat and hard work. We are the ones who paid for it. Not only did we build our businesses we built the schools and the roads and everything else he thinks was generated out of thin air. If you want to get technical about it the businesses and taxpayers that came along before, we built it all and now we are building what comes next. And not only that, but we did it with the albatross of a predatory, corrupt and overbearing government hanging around our necks at every juncture.

And now we have had enough.

I haven't made more than $50k from my business but one or two years of the past 15. But now that it is time to “cash out” after providing literally hundreds of jobs. I get the stink eye and get castigated for being a member of the 1%. Even though I can remember sitting on the edge of the bed and holding my head in my hands wondering what I had done risking everything I had to create a business and wondering how it would all work out when I had just finished working several days in a row with no sleep, I am the enemy. Even though I didn't take a paycheck for the first few years of the business and later skipped other paychecks to meet payroll or to pay taxes I am somehow at fault for the fact that all of these people sitting on their asses or working their cushy government jobs with the large pensions funded by armies of tax collectors and regulators may have to go without. Sometimes small business owners would work two and three jobs to get the business venture going, always incorporating my “other paychecks” back into the business to keep it running.

Well, I already went without so they can bloody well shut the hell up and take their turn in the barrel! If they want to risk everything they have, work their asses off with no guarantee of success only to be told at the end that they were not responsible for their own success and don't deserve their rewards then they are welcome to go down that path and see what it is like.

The number of people who will pursue the American dream and build the economy from the roots up will be greatly decreased in the current atmosphere and all of these self-entitled idiots will sit around wondering why the government is still going broke and why no one is hiring.

No country can survive socialism. It just doesn't happen. Sooner or later the bill comes due. But before it does you always get demagogic idiots like Obama, or Chavez who try to blame their failures on the only people who are keeping everything afloat. It is not enough they sank the damn ship... they have to come after the people in the life boats too.

That is the sort of mentality we are dealing with.

Welcome to Obama’s America: nearly half the population is not represented on a taxable return, 50% pay, 50% receive. http://nation.foxnews.com/2012-election/2012/08/20/niall-ferguson-obamas-gotta-go#ixzz245alUXTO

IMMIGRANTS...
Good photos - Excellent points!!!!

Maybe we should turn to our history books andpoint out to people like Mr. Lujan why today'sAmerican is not willing to accept this new kindof immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 whenthere was a rush from all areas of Europeto come to the United States , people had toget off a ship and stand in a long line inNew Yorkand be documented.
Some would even get down on their hands andknees and kiss the ground. They made a pledgeto uphold the laws and support their new countryin good and bad times. They made learning Englisha primary rule in their new American householdsand some even changed their names to blend inwith their new home.

They had waved goodbye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything intheir power to help their children assimilate intoone culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity. Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan.
They were defending the United States of Americaas one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French American, the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only AMERICANS and we carried one flag that represented one country.

Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrantwho wants the same rights and privileges.
Only they want to achieve it by playing witha different set of rules, one that includes the
entitlement card and a guarantee of beingfaithful to their mother country.

I'M SORRY!That's not what being an American is all about.

I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's The immigrants who came into this country thru the Refugee Freedom Tower in Florida starting in the late 50's till about the 80's, deserve betterthan that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice
in raising future generations to create a land thathas become a beacon for those legally searchingfor a better life. I think they would be appalledthat they are being used as an example bythose waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down theStatue of Liberty, it happens to mean a lot to thecitizens who are voting on the immigration bill. Iwouldn't start talking about dismantling theUnited States just yet.
FOR THE WRONG THINGS TO PREVAIL, THE RIGHTFUL MAJORITY NEEDS TO REMAIN COMPLACENT AND QUIET. LET THIS NEVER HAPPEN!
I sincerely hope this letter gets read bymillions of people all across our great nation.
