Greetings NMI Presidents and Pastors,
Convention time will soon be here; we have an exciting convention planned this year!
TheLocal President report forms and the NC district honor society work sheetsare now on the district website the NMI tab. You have a choice of printing off the report forms, andsnail mailthem to the district statistical secretary,Christi CummingsORyoucan fill your report out online andemail it to Christi, (her mailing and email addresses are both on the website.Weneed yourreport before May 5, 2017.
We would like to know people in your church who have been on work and witness trips since 2013-2017. If you would send their names, the places where they worked, and the type of trip it was. EX: NC work & witness trip or possibly a trip with your church or other missionary organizations. It will be interesting to see how God is using all areas of missions at home or abroad. Please send this in with your reports.
We ask each church to bring at least 1complete box of Crisis Care Kits and School Pal Pak’sto convention.
Note:Our procedure for receiving the boxes has changed due to our venue.
For safety reasons we have moved the receiving area to thelower levelof the Raleigh First Church.
We ask that each church bring your CCK and SPP boxesONLYto the designated area andONLYat the designated times.
The door will be lcked in between the designated times andit is very important that no one stack boxes up out side the doorfor safety reasons.
We will have teams in place to receive the boxes and a sign on the door stating the designated times for receiving.
We are implementing a designated time so that our volunteers receiving boxes can be in all our services and that our receiving of the boxes along with the checks are more organized.Thank you in advance for your patience and corporation with us concerning receiving the boxes.
You will need to bring a check—made payable to:
Global Treasury Services, Church of the Nazarene—The cost for eachCCKis$12.00 per banana box.---The cost of eachSPP is $10.00 per box(for storage and shipping costs during the distribution process) Ten Percent Credit will be allowed for the shipping donation only.
Do not put the money in the CCKs or SPP boxes it must be turned in when you register your box at convention.

****Our district theme is:“Re:Focus Jesus” Due to all the turmoil in our world today the district council felt that it would be good for us to change our focus from things of the world back to Jesus. I believe that doing so we will see a renewed purpose in our “mission” to reach the lost and win them to Christ.
We will be using technology this year and we plan to stream our speaker, if possible, on our Facebook page. “NC DISTRICT NMI.”We ask that you bring your smart phone with you as you will need them to participate during our convention. (But please turn them on silent)
Our speaker this year is Dr.Geneva JaneSilvernail. She has given her life tomissions andtheological education throughout the world, having held teaching and administrative posts in Guam;Swaziland, South Africa; United States; thePhilippines; Papua New Guinea;and the Caribbean, including St. Croix,Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, andDominican Republic. She is a dynamic speaker who will share The story of missions with us.
Please begin praying now for God’s blessing on the NMI convention as well as SDMI, NYI and District Assembly.
