From the Pastor

Myron Halford

Well, it’s hunting season. A lot of us have been waiting since last year for it to come around again. For the last few months I have been putting corn in the feeder getting the deer accustomed to coming in for a free meal. Some people go a lot further than that. Not only do they put corn out, but they also put deer blocks, and deer lick suckers. They do this so that the deer feel comfortable coming in and want to come in. Just about the time they think they have it made, a big bang goes off and there it lays. It seems like the devil has the same game plan for you and me. He knows what we like so he puts it in our path. Instead of realizing that its bad (sin) we go ahead and try a little, and before you know it we are hooked on it, then a big bang and there we lay. I have a few of my prize deer hanging on my wall so I can brag about them. I don't want my head hanging on Satan’s wall, and I pray you don't either. So, when you see something that is sinful, stay away and don't become another one of the head mounts on Satan’s wall.

1 Peter 5:8: “Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
