  1. Approved minutes of the March 11 meeting.
  2. John shared email from prospective student on ability to individualize the program.
  3. PR for the fall online cohort has started:
  4. The flyer has been sent to CESA 2 and 3 schools
  5. Zbikowski and Stone will be doing presentations at Deforest (4/15), Hartford (4/20), Appleton (4/22), Brodhead (5/4), Racine (4/27) and Sun Prairie (5/5)
  6. John will check on mentioning other MSE-PD emphasis areas at these presentations
  7. Sessions for advisors will be offered. Council members are invited to attend, but do not have to come to each session. John will revise the agenda and materials to be distributed and send them to the Council. Dates:

  11. Pam reported on the meeting with Jessica Cole of the Registrar’s Office and David Wallace of ICIT about tracking progress.
  12. A “plan code” or set of plan codes would be a good alternative to milestones for identifying individuals working toward licensure, either as non-candidates or as students in a master’s emphasis.
  13. This will be a regular discussion group including Tom Ganser and Marie Benson. Pam suggested that they could help us a lot so long as we can develop a common vocabulary for talking about the system.
  14. Use of plan codes will serve many other purposes, such as facilitating program evaluation in the audit-and-review process.
  15. It would be a good idea to share the capstone projects electronically. Eileen will check with Sally Lange on the process for getting them in the campus depository.
  16. Program evaluation: No progress to report on student and faculty checklists..
