Michael Humphrey Wins $10,000 Worth Of COMP Performance Group™
Products During2014 Hot Rod Power Tour
Wisconsin Dells, WI–The third COMP Performance Group™ Golden Ticket contest saw 2014 Hot Rod Power Tour Long Hauler Michael Humphrey win $10,000in CPG parts during the tour’s final stop in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
Since its inception in 2012, the COMP Performance Group™ Golden Ticket Contest has become one of the most popular parts of each year’s Hot Rod Power Tour. Long Haulers are encouraged to support and promote COMP Performance Group™ brands in the craziest and most creative ways possible throughout the seven-day affair. CPG reps then scour the grounds and hand out coveted Golden Tickets to individuals they deem are worthy of a shot at a random $10,000 drawing at the end of the week. This year 22 out of a possible 25 Golden Tickets were presented to Long Haulers who did everything from dress up as movie characters and superheroes to wrap their rides in logos from the various CPG brands. Each Golden Ticket holder received a $100 COMP Cams® certificate just for participating in the contest.
Michael Humphrey of Lapeer, Michigan, was randomly chosen as the grand prize winner in front of a massive crowd at the COMP Cams® Main Stage on Friday, June 13th, in Wisconsin Dells. Humphrey drives a unique 1957 Oldsmobile with a Hemi engine. He built a custom shroudfor his exposed air cleaner and utilized COMP Cams®, FAST™ and TCI® logos in the design. He and co-pilot Adam Snider also built a flag pole setup on which they flew COMP Cams® banners above the Olds at each Power Tour stop. An elated Humphrey said that he plans to use the money towards a TCI® 6x Six-Speed™ Transmission Package and a FAST™ EZ-EFI® Dual Quad Upgrade Kit.
