CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 9:32 a.m. A quorum was present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

October minutes were distributed and reviewed. Several spelling errors were corrected. Minutes will be filed as amended.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

TREASURER– Jessica Howe

The financial report was distributed and reviewed. The Treasurer’s report will be filed subject to financial review.

ONGOING PROGRAMS – Shawna Milne

The first Eagle Reader Clubhouse will be on November 19th. Some Clubhouse books were purchased from the fall Book Fair. Attending the next Scholastic warehouse book sale to purchase more books is an option.

ONE TIME EVENTS– Darlene Weigle

The fall Book Fair was well attended, and made 3,700 Scholastic dollars.

The Reflections reception and ice cream social was last night. Twenty Reflections entries were submitted.

WAYS AND MEANS REPORT – Dawn Carr

6,879 Box Tops were turned in during the fall collection.

There have been 2 Popcorn Fridays so far. The first was free of charge to students.

Eagle Wear has just arrived and will be distributed.

VIS REPORT – Korista Smith-Barney

The bond proposal put forth by Superintendent Thiele has been approved by the school board. Language for the April 2016 ballot is being crafted. If the bond is approved, our district will build two new elementary schools, one new middle school and one new high school. Maple Hills would receive a $7 million remodel and expansion.

ISF REPORT – Emily Royce

The first Honk and Wave for the All in for Kids campaign will be this Friday. Volunteers are needed for to morning and afternoon shifts.

MEMBERSHIP – Nicole Newton and MakishaNorwick

We currently have 319 paid members. We are still working to achieve 100% teacher membership.

SITE COUNCIL – Dawn Carr

No meeting this month – nothing to report.

AUCTION UPDATE – Darlene Weigle

Procured items have been coming in. Donated items and experiences are needed and welcomed. Heather will be meeting tomorrow with the auctioneer, Stephen Kilbreath. The suggested attire for the auction will be business casual.

VOLUNTEERS REPORT – Darlene Weigle

The October Volunteer of the Month was Tiffany Alegrete. Almost all events and programs have chairs. Still need a chair for Eagle Eye Art and Science Fair.

NEWSLETTER – Rebecca Schwenk

Please send reports and articles to Rebecca by the 20th of each month.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Darlene Weigle

Darlene has received both negative and positive feedback about the Holiday Store. The store has been very popular with students. Last year it was open for 5 days.It was discussed and decided that the store will run for 3 days this year.
