Overview

MSU Circle K International (CKI) started in 1972, and is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of East Lansing. Circle K International is the world’s largest collegiate service organization with over 12,000 members worldwide. The primary focus of our club is doing community service; through this volunteer work, we hope to build leadership skills and allow our members to network and make friends. Members have access to scholarships exclusive to Circle K members, as well. If you have would like more information please feel free to contact any of the leadership team, email us at , or check us out on the internet at

Service

We volunteer with a variety of organizations, sure to fit anyone’s interests. Our projects include working with: animals, children, elderly, mentally disabled, and economically disadvantaged to name a few. MSU CKI is unique in that we have no service requirements to our members. We offer weekly service projects, as well as various monthly projects in order to provide a variety of service opportunities to our membership.

Leadership

There are a variety of ways in which you can build your leadership skills with MSU Circle K. Throughout the year, you will have access to conventions and workshops dedicated to strengthening your leadership skills. Moreover, you can gain valuable leadership training by becoming a member of the leadership team. We offer chair and committee positions in a variety of areas: Fundraising, Service, Kiwanis Family Relations, Public Relations, Multimedia and Reflection, and Membership Development.

Fellowship

Being a member of MSU Circle K can have its advantages. Our sponsoring Kiwanis Club is full of members from various career fields who can provide insight into the ever changing job market. Additionally, Circle K has clubs at over 500 colleges in the world, allowing you to build connections with people from across the globe. Furthermore, you can build lasting friendship with fellow Spartans by becoming a member.

Meetings

Our club meets every Sunday at 3:30 PM on the 3rd Floor of the MSU Union in the Lake Superior Room. Prospective members are always welcome to attend.

Pledge

I pledge to uphold the objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion and goodwill toward others through service and leadership, to develop my abilities and the abilities of all people, and to dedicate myself to the realization of mankind’s potential!

Dues

Membership to MSU Circle K International is $20 per school year. There are opportunities to offset this cost with our Kick-It Program. Essentially with the Kick-It Program, you do some simple work for a Kiwanis member in exchange, a Kiwanis member paying your dues.
