2 Corinthians 5:1-10

Live With The End In Mind

Discipleship Lifestyle Group Study Questions2.18.18

Overview:

This week we were blessed to hear from Mike Bohlmann on a simple truth that the Apostle Paul wanted followers of Christ to fully grasp. Live with the end in mind. To this end he used a metaphor that compared our bodies to tents. Those who have gone camping understand the difference between a tent and their actual home. Even with today’s craze of “Glamping,” short for Glamorous Camping, where you try and bring all of the comforts of home with you, it is still just camping. No matter how much you lug up the mountain, it will never be the same as your home. Yet, that’s what we do with our earthly bodies isn’t it? We lug all of this extra baggage around with us, just trying to find comfort and happiness. Then we wonder why it doesn’t satisfy our soul.

We aren’t designed that way. God designed us for something so much more. Paul’s words make it very clear that as we walk by faith and not by sight, we make it our goal to live a life that pleases Him. That is what satisfies. Live with the end in mind…it is good to keep this in perspective.
