Scholarships with December 2011 Deadlines

Scholarship information is listed below in order of deadline date.

Applications and information are available in the Longview High School Senior Scholarship and Counseling Center on the second floor of the main building. Please note, however, that some applications are only available online through the scholarship donor’s website.

Texas A&M Foundation Excellence Award

The Foundation Excellence Award is a scholarship ranging from $2,000 to $2,500 per year funded with private gifts from individuals and corporations to the Texas A&M Foundation. Because the Texas A&M Foundation is a private entity, it may take into consideration characteristics of race and ethnicity in addition to the family educational background, financial need, grades and leadership history in the selection process. Some of the scholarships require financial need or a major in a particular field of study, according to the donor’s wishes.

This year the application process is different. THE FEA scholarship is now part of the Apply Texas scholarship application. Students must complete this portion of the admission application by December 1 to be eligible for the FEA scholarship. Students must complete Essays A, B, and C and check the box Foundation Excellence Award found under University Scholarships: Selectable. Please note that only students attending Texas A&M-College Station are eligible for this scholarship.

If you have any questions regarding the application or need additional information about the FEA, please contact Mary Ullmann at 979-847-8700.
