KLBD CERTIFICATION PROCEDURES

Thank you for your inquiry into KLBD Kosher certification services. KLBD is one of the largest kosher certification agencies in Europe & Asia and a leading authority on kosher food and Jewish Law.

APPLICATION FORM

This form applies only to companies wishing to attain a KLBD private label kosher certificate in their own brand name of a product from another company which already has kosher certification

The company who requires the private label must fill out this application form and provide the information about the factory/factories in which they are getting the product from including an up to date kosher certificate from the main principal factory/factories.

If the factory does not have a kosher certificate, then a full kosher certification application form (Code-KCA) must be filled and the product will then be evaluated just like a new factory would and the fees will be different and treated as a new factory certification unless the factory in question applies and pay for the certification themselves.

Once the application is received, a member of the KLBD team then reviews the application and a rabbinical coordinator will contact you if there are any questions that we may have.

CERTIFICATION FEE

Finally if everything is acceptable on your traceability issues and the kosher status of the factory in which you will be purchasing from, the next stage will be that the certification fees are paid in full.

CONTRACT AND KOSHER CERTIFICATE

A contract is then signed between the private label company and KLBD to ensure that the products can only be purchased from the said factory that must in turn have an up to date kosher certificate. In the event the certificate is lapse in any way, then the private label certificate will be revoked immediately. Suppliers for the product cannot be changed without prior approval from the KLBD. New suppliers can be added as long as they go through the same process as above. Once the KLBD kosher certificate is issued the productcan be sold with the use of the KLBD logoand the KLBD kosher certificate covering it. A copy of the label used on the product MUST be sent to KLBD in advance to check that all the information is in order.

HOW LONG DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS TAKE UNTIL THE CERTIFICATE IS RECEIVED?

Generally the whole process should not take any more than 2-3 weeks until issuance of the kosher certificate to be received pending full payment for the certificate.

PLEASE NOTE: The symbol is a registered trademark of the KLBD Kosher Certification. Its unauthorized use is a violation of trademark laws. Our rights in this regard are enforced to the fullest extent of the law. The symbol may not be used until a written contract has been executed with the KLBD Kosher Certification. KLBD Kosher Certification agrees that it will not communicate or divulge to, or use for the benefit of, any other person, partnership, association, or corporation, any of the trade secrets, formulae, or secret processes, used or employed by the company in or about its business, that may be communicated to KLBD Kosher Certification by virtue of this application. Submission and investigation of this application does not entail any commitment upon the part of the applicant or of KLBD Kosher Certification in any way, until agreement for said purpose is duly entered into by both parties.
