ANNOUNCER(DAVE DRUI)

The following program, “Bless Israel with Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein,” is presentedby The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, presenting the plight facing God's chosen people so that you can be a blessing to them today through your prayers and loving support.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Rockets are hitting Israel and killing and wounding mothers, fathers, children, grandparents. Civilians hit with katushas, thousands of katushas.

FEMALE SPEAKER: During the war we can't stick our heads out. It was -- there was smoke, there was fire, there was sirens, every ten minutes.

MALE SPEAKER: We didn't know what to do. We never had a missile attack. Imagine that you're sitting in your home and all of a sudden missiles coming over your head.

ANNOUNCER: RABBI YECHIEL ECKSTEIN - PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF THE FELLOWSHIP.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: I'm standing here on a hill in a residential area of a regular city in Israel. Right now eight missiles fell in this city where I am today and every day there are four to eight to twelve missiles and I wanted to see where’s it coming from. So I came up on this hill. That, right over there, is Gaza. We know with certainty there are thousands of missiles prepared to be launched. The storm is coming.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: In America, if we encounter an emergency or crisis you dial 911 and we're confident that help will be forthcoming. But that's not always the case here in Israel especially during times of war and emergency in terrorism.

ANNOUNCER: HAIM BARBIVAL IS THE MAYOR OF ONE OF ISRAEL’S MOST POPULAR CITIES, NAMED KIRYAT SHMONA.

HAIM BARBIVAI: In this war 2000 houses --

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: 2000 houses?

HAIM BARBIVAI: 2000 houses.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: In Israel or --

HAIM BARBIVAI: In Kiryat.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: In this city.

HAIM BARBIVAI: This city.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Wow.

HAIM BARBIVAI: 1000 katushas fall in Kiryat Shmonah.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: That shouldn't be. If that were to happen to any city in the United States we would be outraged. We would do something about it. We wouldn't put up with that.

FEMALE SPEAKER: Staying underneath the ground 33 days is unimaginable. It's hot. You can't breathe. It was hell on earth.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: This is Carmiel. For 33 days the people in this city lived underground. The sadness and the great tragedy is that there are rockets falling on a city of, of one kind of another here in Israel almost every single day. People in Israel are living their lives in fear.

FEMALE SPEAKER: (speaking Hebrew).

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: It's like Russian Roulette here. They don't --

FEMALE SPEAKER: (speaking Hebrew).

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: They're afraid to send your children out. You're afraid to go to work. Code red, she's saying code red all the time.

RABBI YECHIEL ECKSTEIN: You hear code red and you become totally vulnerable.

MALE SPEAKER: Just, just in case we will hear -- go inside. We don't have a shelter.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: No shelter?

MALE SPEAKER: No shelter.

RABBI YECHIEL ECKSTEIN: Everyday missiles fall. Everyday there are people injured. Now is not a time to be silent. The bible says that for the sake of Zion I will not be silent. For the sake of Jerusalem I will not be stilled.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Because we realized that when a crisis happens, when an emergency happens, and it happens here almost every day, we need to provide the people with their basic needs immediately. It may be to evacuate the children or the elderly from certain cities.

MIRIAM FIREBERG: There are a lot of these and government have to cope with security, it has to cope with a lot of problems in Israel. Our city was attacked by 15 terror attacks and in this big darkness, uh, we had a little light. And the light was the Christians who love Israel.

RON NACHMAN: They say to me how come you're going to raise funds from the non-Jewish people, Christians. I say they are my friends. I think that the Christians who believe in the Old Testament and those Christians who support the state of Israel, those people are the treasure to the future of Israel.

FEMALE SPEAKER: It was a very, very difficult situation. And the fellowship came immediately under the bombs and they risked themselves and gave us food. They gave us blankets.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: At a time when the government resources are stretched to the limit we can change lives.

FEMALE SPEAKER: I went through six wars in Israel, but let me tell you something. The love, the support, the understanding, the, the solidarity, I would like to thank the Fellowship because I think it did wondrous things. I think it was a lifeline.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Joshua said, “Mi lashem aylai (Hebrew), who is for the Lord, let him come with me.” My friends, this is the moment of truth. This is the time when we need to take a stand with God, when we need to take a stand with morality and when we need to stand strongly with the State of Israel.

RABBI YECHIEL ECKSTEIN: You're saying a new immigrant from Russia here in this city was killed yesterday?

MALE SPEAKER: Yes.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: He worked in this factory?

MALE SPEAKER: Yes. He got the missiles –

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Direct hit?

MALE SPEAKER: -- directly hit his head and, and they have two kids and he have two more kids of his sister.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: He was watching not only his own two children but his two nieces. And now he's killed --

MALE SPEAKER: He's killed. Who will take care of them?

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Who, who will take care of them?

MALE SPEAKER: Who will take care of them?

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Show me where, uh, where the, uh -Israel is under bombardment. Is anyone listening? Is anyone concerned?

For six years this city has endured these rocket attacks. They are tired of going to funerals. They are tired of going to trauma centers.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Not one day can we just feel comfortable going to get a piece of bread at the store.

FEMALE SPEAKER: (speaking Hebrew).

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: She's screaming that, uh, that they're desperate, that they, they hear the code red and the children are at the kindergarten. What are they supposed to do?

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: We can't change the military situation but we need to do more. We can do more to help these people stand against terrorism and God willing we will do more.

MALE SPEAKER: We need more help and we, we pray for more help. We need for the people who suffer from the trauma.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Trauma center.

MALE SPEAKER: Trauma center.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Protected one -- this for example, this is not protected.

MALE SPEAKER: This is not protected.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Meaning that, uh --

MALE SPEAKER: It can be missile one hit and all of us can be hurt.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: Code red and then you have how long?

MALE SPEAKER: 20 seconds.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: 20 seconds between the time that you hear the code red. This school may be protected with a fence. It may have an armed guard but the school is totally unprotected, un-reinforced and if a kassam missile falls on that

school people will be killed and people have been killed.

FEMALE SPEAKER: I have to start maybe from the first child was killed. My daughter was waiting for the bus to school.

FEMALE SPEAKER: In 20 seconds I saw her run from the doors and 20 seconds I saw all her life. I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't stop crying.

MALE SPEAKER: We're brothers and sisters in God, and please Christians support the Jewish people, the Israelis in their struggle to be a nation and to be the, the people that God has called them to be in the land that God's called them to be. Support that.

FEMALE SPEAKER: I do it because I love them. They're God's people and I love them.

GLENN PLUMMER: When the enemies of Israel and the Jews are rising up, we as Christians are called to stand with Israel.

PAT ROBERTSON: I believe a blessing has been ordained by God for those supporting Israel and the Jewish people.

JACK HAYFORD: I'm grateful for the work of the Fellowship that gives the opportunity for Christians to demonstrate our true care and love for Israel.

FEMALE SPEAKER: (Singing) Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine, love can build a bridge. Don't you think it's time, don't you think it's time.

ANNOUNCER ASK #2

We live in a time when evil needs only 20 seconds to rain down fire and destruction on Israel.

In November of 2012, Gaza terrorists launched over 400 rocket attacks into Israel over a period of just two weeks. As a result, nearly 20 percent of the Israel’s population was forced to live in bomb shelters.

The untenable situation of more than 1 million residents living under constant threat of rocket fire must top the list of concerns of every friend of Israel. These precious Israeli children, families and elderly have nowhere else to turn. But thanks to Christians like you, The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has been able to provide food, blankets, medical care, bomb shelter renovation, clothing and other essentials for thousands of Jews through The Fellowship’s Guardians of Israel program.

But we need your help to continue this important effort.

With your one-time gift today of $150, you’ll join the Guardians of Israel program to help Israeli children and families.

Your help is urgently needed today. Please partner with us in protecting God’s chosen people of Israel by calling and donating a one-time gift of $150 toward the Guardians of Israel program.

Here’s the number to call. It’s toll free. 855-GUARD-92. That’s 855-GUARD-92. Numerically the number is 855-482-7392. That’s 855-482-7392.

May God bless you as you give a financial blessing to our Jewish brothers and sisters. 855-GUARD-92

FEMALE SPEAKER: In the beginning it was very hard for the Jews to accept and to understand why someone loves me. Jews are used to people hating us. But the Fellowship is trying to make it clear to Jews to, to explain to them that you, you should love those people back because they really love us. They are -- they truly love us without any condition.

MALE SPEAKER: They came here to visit us during the war. Some of them sit with us, uh, during a Katyusha falling here in Akko and they helped with food, with evacuations and we knew that we had friends in our bad time.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: This whole valley was ablaze. Thousands of missiles hit their homes, hit their hospitals, hit their schools. And The Fellowship was in a position to help the people of Israel at their time of need because you cared and you helped.

FEMALE SPEAKER: Having this call from Rabbi Eckstein the second day of the war, what do you need? The first thing we asked from them was, uh, lifejackets for our employees. The bombs were falling so I said we need 50 lifejackets and, uh, Rabbi Eckstein you got it, just go and buy it. How soon can you buy them?

YONAH YAVAH: This is a very difficult burden to lift and we need assistance. We are not able to lift it alone and the assistance of this fund, it's tremendously important.

MALE SPEAKER 2: In this war the Fellowship give us a part 2000 hot meal a day in the shelters. It's a lot of money but it's not money, it's not money. It's a feeling that you are with us and we know that we are not alone in this war.

MALE SPEAKER: When Rabbi Eckstein came and visited them in the bomb shelters, in their homes. Uh, they knew who he is and they know that he do a lot for the people of Israel with the support of our friends, the Christian friends from the U.S.

FEMALE SPEAKER: (Singing) Love can build a bridge.

DVORA GANANI: He's like a, a bridge. He's someone who brings the message from Christians to the Israelis and he say it very clear to everyone, he's not hiding it. He say it, we are giving the money on behalf of this love of Christian to Israel. People step by step beginning to understand, mayors, ministers, government people, everybody.

FEMALE SPEAKER: (Singing) Love can build a bridge between your heart and mind. Love can build a bridge. Don't you think it's time, don't you think it's time.

FEMALE SPEAKER: It was amazing, the love to this land, to the people. it's a phenomenon. It's something very, very special.

RABBI YECHIELECKSTEIN: I want to thank you. The Jewish people want to thank you for being there at their time of need and peril and I pray that you will be there in the days ahead too when Israel faces even more adversity.
