DIVISION FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (DICHEST)

The internationalization of higher education through integration in the European Space of Higher Education / Bologna and European Reseach Area, is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. To promote this dimension, MEST has established in 2008, Division for International Cooperation in Higher Education, Science and Technology.

DICHEST as mission has promotion and facility of the international cooperation through promotion of European and international programs, academic exchange and mobility, in research capacity building, etc.

Scope

·  Promition of international standards in higher education and research through developments of the strategic and legislative policies.

·  Stimulation of international cooperation and and building of cooperation means with international partners in the field of higher education and research.

·  Promotion of the institutions’ membership from the country in the regional and international mechanisms.

·  Coordination in the country’s level of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020.

·  Promotion of the Erasmus+ Program and similar international programs.

·  Coordination of CEEPUS program for academic and mobility exchange in the countries of the Central and South East Europe.

·  Initiation and implementation of the programs and international bilateral agreements with governmental institutions of higher education and research, etc.

·  Supports of students, academic staff and researchers in different regional and international programs of the academic exchange and mobility.
