Aug. 23 – V.I.P. Night

Very Important PARENTS: Parents come to learn what happens at Awana on Wednesdays, and find out their roles in the Awana experience! Hamburgers and hot dogs served beforehand.

Sept. 6 – Backwards Night

It’s the same, just backwards! Wear your clothes backwards.

Sept. 24 (Sunday) – Down Home BBQ

Come enjoy a meal with the Ottawa Bible church family. These are the people praying for your kids!

Oct. 4 – B.A.R.F. Night

Be A Real Friend: Real friends tell their friends about Jesus. Bring a friend to Awana for the first time and you both will get a treat!

Nov. 1 – Red and Green Night

Wear red and green (hint: your uniforms are an easy place to start!). Learn about Operation Christmas Child.

Nov. 22 (Tuesday) – Skating Party at The Rink

Annual family skate night. Friends are welcome. Cost is $3.

Dec. 1 to 3 – Living Bethlehem Tours

Bring your family to experience what Bethlehem may have been like the night Jesus was born! 1792 Kingman Road, Ottawa. 5:45 – 8:30 PM nightly.

Dec. 6 – Baby Shower for Jesus Night

Bring needed items to support LifeCare.

Dec. 20 – Christmas Story Night

We will end the night with a special reading of the true Christmas Story. Parents and families invited. Cookies and punch served afterwards. (Reading is at 7:40 in the sanctuary.)

Jan. 10 – Flight Night

Paper Airplane Contest: Make your own airplane, and we will have a simple flying contest. Farthest flyer wins a treat.

Feb. 14 – Real Valentines Night

Better than candy, better than pretty cards: 1 John 4:8 – “God Is Love.”

*Feb. 17 (Saturday) – Grand Prix Work Shop

Bring your car to our woodworking shop to get it ready for the big race! We will have experts with all the tools and supplies needed to take your car from a wood block to a race winner. Starts at 9 AM.

*Feb. 24 (Saturday) – Awana Grand Prix

The most fun event of the year! Prizes for speed and design. Concessions available at cost. Bring the whole family and cheer on our racers!

Mar. 7 – Crazy Hair Night

Style, color, fix up, or let down – create your crazy hair look for the night. (Nothing permanent!)

Apr. 4 – Weigh-In Challenge

We will be collecting money for Awana missions for four weeks. See whether boys or girls can collect the most money…. By weight!

May 2 – Closing Awards Night

We will close the club year with the Awards Ceremony. Each club director will give highlights of the year and we will recognize all children that completed their books. Bring the whole family to celebrate your child’s hard work!
