Park applications-new/review

One application was submitted for June. This was Approved by the board that was present.

Parks:

•Elizabeth park- date of opening, job and announcement.

The subject of safety of the play structure.

Will look up Vt. Parks and Rec. park safety connection form NNRPC.

Will look up info on a JohnnyHorton whopressure cleaned and sealed playstructure.

Think about writing a Walter-Lee grant application for clean and seal play structure.

Job announcement for custodian of Elizabeth park.

Proposal to open park in April, 2016

•Denny Park – music night/ music on main street

•Boch Park -?

Activity Projects:

•BTA- Easter EGG-Stravaganza (results)The prizes sorted, eggs stuffed, coloring contest out, Prize- Easter basket put together & posted at old 5 & 10 store window. Bunny suit aired out. Looking for person to wear. (Teen?)

•Winter rec-.nothing to report

•Spring rec.- Tennis /plan (instructors for tennis review in person)

*Roxana Mathews come to meeting, shared her interest in helping the tennis program. Will be in contact. Will need to sort out $ if she would like in order to work with us for summer. She is trained in teaching groups of 10-15 specialized in kids ages 10 & under. Does teach older and adults privately. Is about 40 min to 1hr from here. Is in contact with Alex at USDA. Last year’s operation was explained to her, so she may have an idea of how we started and we look forward to having her input on possibilities.

*We did have another person who is interested tennis also. She was not able to make this meeting however is willing to make the next meeting. BPRC will get back to her asap.

•Summer rec. – nothing to report at this time.

•Summer camp – packets, flyers, announcements have a packet to present to Sb., job announcement to present, fundraising letter to present, spaghetti dinner announcements/food list/ start time/ planning set up for service. / possible donations from Hannaford’s.
