The Governor’s Cup

The Governor’s Cup Committee will grant an automatic invitation to the Governor’s Cup to the skippers of the first three Rose Cup finishers. Note that if one or more of the top three Rose Cup finishers does not wish to, or cannot, attend the Governor’s Cup, only those finishers in the top three who wish to attend will receive the automatic invitations (the fourth place skipper, for example, will not move up to an automatic invitation in such an event).

However, if a skipper requesting an invitation to the Rose Cup would also like to be considered for an invitation to the Governor’s Cup regardless of how they might finish in the Rose Cup, the Rose and Governor’s Cup committees have agreed to treat a Rose Cup Request for Invitation as an RFI for the Governor’s Cup. And it is possible a skipper may receive a “Gov Cup” invitation before the Rose Cup.

See the bottom of the Request for Invitation (page 3) for more information.

For more information on the Governor’s Cup, please go to:

> Youth Sailing > Governor’s Cup

2014 information is expected to be available by February 1.
