JOB TITLE: PART-TIME Receiver-Stocker

LOCATION: Fenton

REPORTS TO: Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager

SCHEDULE: Hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm, primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

OVERVIEW

Provide courteous and professional services to donors by assisting at the dock with their donations, processing the donations, and stocking the items to ensure the success of SVDP’s mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiver-Stocker:

·  Presents a professional, clean appearance and provide courteous service to all customers and donors.

·  Responds quickly to the bell for customer service needed at the dock

·  Assists customers lifting the donated items, may lift up to 100 lbs.

·  Utilizes resources to assist with heavy lifting as an electric forklift (must be certified) or other staff to help.

·  Assists the drivers with the unloading of large and heavy donated items and with the loading of items for recycling.

·  Brings items out to the floor for display and stocking.

·  Assists customers loading items in vehicles.

·  Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

·  Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

·  One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·  Certification operating a forklift.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

·  Experienced using proper loading and unloading techniques for maximum use of space and limited damage to product

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

·  The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

·  The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, climb or balance.

·  The employee is occasionally required to sit.

·  The employee occasionally works in high precarious places.

·  The employee occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
