HUDSON YARDS PHASE 2 – MANHATTAN TOWER PROJECT RECEIVES FIRST I-526PETITION APPROVALS

NEW YORK, NY – August 31, 2016 – The Related New York City Metro Regional Center, LLC (“RNYCMRC”) is pleased to announce that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) has issued the first I-526 approvals for subscribers of its Hudson Yards Phase 2- Manhattan Tower EB-5 project.The I-526 approvals were received on August 22, 2016, approximately 12 months after being filed with the USCIS. Per the USCIS, the current average processing time for I-526 petitions is 16.7 months, as of June 30, 2016. To date, RNYCMRC’s first project, Hudson Yards Phase 1 - ERY Tenant,already hasmore than 1,100 I-526 petitions approved and more than 200 conditional green cards issued.

USCIS approval of an I-526 Petition marks the first step in the process for foreign investors seeking to become permanent residents of the United States through the EB-5 Regional Center Program. The I-526 Petition is filed together with accompanying evidence in support of the program’s requirements with USCIS. To date, the Hudson Yards Phase 2- Manhattan Tower EB-5 project has not received any Requests for Evidence from USCIS on project documents or I-526 petitions. Given the project approval issued by USCIS for the Hudson Yards Phase 2 - Manhattan Tower EB-5 projecton July 11, 2016,RNYCMRC expects to see an influx of I-526 petitions.

The Hudson Yards Phase 2 - Manhattan Tower project is located on Manhattan’s West Side and is being developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group. The project consists of an office tower with an observation deck and a retail center in its base, as well as a food & beverage pavilion, landscape sculpture and two cogeneration plants.These components are part of the larger Hudson Yards development underway. Vertical construction of Manhattan Tower began in July 2015 and is expected to be completed by mid-2019.The project is projected to create more than 17,100 jobs.

Hudson Yards has been cited in the press as the largest private real estate development in United States history.When complete in 2025, the development will includeapproximately 1.6 million square meters of commercial and residential space; more than 100 shops and restaurants, including New York City’s first Neiman Marcus and signature restaurants by Chefs Thomas Keller, José Andrés and Costas Spiliadis; around 4,000 residences; approximately 5.7 hectares of public open space; anew 750-seat public school and a 200-room Equinox® branded luxury hotel.
