  1. Requirement Description

Describe the requirement (gap). Include a description of the delivered PeopleSoft functionality.

The Office of Policy and Management currently reviews all position activity for agency and state budget purposes, however, they do not have the capability of generating a list of transactions they performed or were performed within an agency. The current APS system did not provide for statewide reporting either. As delivered, PeopleSoft produces Personnel Activity History Reports on the employee side, not on the position side.

Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of users impacted, etc.

This summary log would enable OPM to review the management of positions at the agency level. OPM and agencies could review volumes of establishments, refills, reclassifications, within a period of time, for specific agencies, and cost.

Description: Create a report that could be downloaded into a spreadsheet (Excel) that would report during a date range, on transaction types (establishments, refills, reclassifications), and cost to end of year. The cost to end of year would only be available if encumbrance processing was implemented.
