Godby Football Quarterback Club Meeting

New Business

  1. Treasurer Report

  2. Picture Day - Monday, September 19th – by Tim Yoho Photography. Varsity pictures at 2:30pm and JV pictures at 3:00pm. Athletes will need to bring money and order form on picture day.
  3. Locker Room Clean-up – voted to have the carpet shampooed and steamer. Quarterback Club Officer will contact Stanley Steamer to schedule cleaning week of 09/24/11.
  4. Superlube Fund Raiser – voted to begin fundraiser on Monday, September 12th. Athletes will be issued 5 tokens to sell. Proceeds go towards uniforms.
  5. Black-Out-Game against Jefferson County @ Chiles HS – Friday, September 16th - Team will wear black uniform and we ask that all fans wear black shirts. We will sell Godby Black Shirts beginning next week after practice. Shirts are $10
  1. JV Information and Request
  2. Roster– Coaches will provide roster to place on website
  3. Game Schedule – Still adding games to schedule. Coaches will provide schedule to place on website as soon as possible. Game changes thus far: October 6th home game is against East Gadsden and October 27th game is against Leon
  4. Water Bottles and accessories – Coach Dixon requested water bottles for the team. Mrs. Holley will provide bottles for all games.
  1. Fund Raisers
  2. Boston Butts– Order Forms can be turned in on September 16th @ 6pm in the Weight Room.
  3. Ad Sells for Programs – Mr. Dixon did an outstanding job creating Football Program this year. He and Coach Cottrell agreed that we will need to begin selling ads for next year at an earlier time frame.
  4. Superlube Tokens – voted to pre purchase 250 tokens to sell at $5 each – athletes need to sell at least 5 tokens. If we sell all 250 tokens we will purchase additional tokens to sell. This is an on-going fundraiser.
  5. Fund Raiser Recommendation by Mrs. Williams – Field Day Fund Raiser – this is an event that will occur at the end of the football season. Parents and Coaches Wives will compete against each other in different field events that will end with a football game. We would charge an entrance fee and have a concessions stand.
  6. Fund Raiser Committee – voted to have a committee to organize and come up with different fund raisers to benefit the team throughout the year. The committee consists of the following people: Mrs. Williams, David Harris, Lisa Rubes, Marcie Winner, Mike Winner and Susan Holley.
  1. Volunteer & Sponsor Recognition
  2. Sign Sponsors – Certificate of Appreciation will be presented at place of business by football players
  3. Provide list of Businesses to Announcer before game
  4. Voice of the Cougars – voted to present Dr. Furlow with a token of appreciation (plaque, shirt).
